Illegal aliens arrested in Franklin County

FRANKLIN COUNTY >>The United States Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania said that two illegal aliens were recently taken into custody in Franklin County.

The U.S. Attorney's office and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigrations and Customs Enforcement, announced that charges have been brought against several who allegedly entered the country illegally.

Erik Samuel Coyoc, 22, a native and citizen of Guatemala, was charged in a one-count indictment by a federal grand jury in Harrisburg.
The indictment alleges that Coyoc, an alien previously arrested and deported, did knowingly and unlawfully reenter the United States and was apprehended in Franklin County.

If convicted, Coyoc, faces a maximum sentence of up to 2 years imprisonment and a $250,000 fine.

Alberto Bautista-Sanchez, 30, a native and citizen of Mexico, was charged in a one-count indictment by a federal grand jury in Harrisburg.

The indictment alleges that Bautista-Sanchez, an alien with previous criminal convictions in California, and who had been previously arrested and deported, did knowingly and unlawfully reenter the United States. He was located by federal immigration agents in Franklin County.

If convicted, Bautista-Sanchez faces a maximum sentence of up to 20 years of imprisonment and a $250,000 fine.
