    60 ILLEGALS EVICTED--FROM ONE HOUSE

This article can be found at www.newsday.com

Bill O'Reilly covered this last night and it was DISGUSTING!

Waving signs and banging sticks on plastic buckets like drums, about 200 people, mainly undocumented Mexican immigrants, marched through Farmingville yesterday demanding the right not to be evicted without notice and thrown into the street.

Some residents, however, questioned whether the immigrants have any rights without documentation to enter this country. Suffolk County Steve Levy called the demonstrators a "lunatic fringe."

The immigrants and their supporters, including priests and activists, were protesting the eviction by authorities last week of at least 28 Mexican day laborers from an overcrowded Farmingville house, leaving them homeless.

"Tenants should not be evicted without notice and without being allowed to take their belongings out," said one protester, Maria, 25, a Mexican immigrant who lives in Centereach, and would not give her last name. Eight months pregnant, she was a holding a large American flag with one hand and a sign that said "God Bless All Tenants" with another.

The target of much of the protesters' ire was Levy, who is helping to lead a crackdown on what authorities say are 117 other overcrowded houses in Farmingville and 300 elsewhere in Brookhaven Town.

Many residents are cheering the housing crackdown, saying it's long overdue, but advocates say the workers have no place else to live.

"If Steve Levy had closed down a house with 30 or 40 dogs in it, he would have found shelter for them before throwing them out on the streets," said a Latino advocate, the Rev. Allan Ramirez, who carried a small dog with him. "We wish that at the very least he would treat the Latino community the way he would treat the dogs."

Levy shot back yesterday, saying his campaign is supported by wide swaths of people fed up with overcrowded houses in Farmingville. "The 99 percent of the county that supports the closing of this hellhole need not worry," he said. "I will not back down to this 1 percent lunatic fringe. They evidently don't like me much because I am one of the few officials who are not intimidated by their politically correct histrionics."

Besides the immigrants, yesterday's marchers included Catholic priests, Franciscan brothers in long robes, activists from groups including the nonprofit Workplace Project and some residents who came out simply because they felt badly for the immigrants.

"Every person must be treated with dignity and respect," regardless of their immigration status, said Brother Clark Berge of the Episcopalian church's Society of St. Francis in Mt. Sinai, adding that he opposed tossing the men into the streets.

But many residents say houses packed with Mexican immigrants have become a scourge in Farmingville that they want officials to attack.

Monday's raid on 33 Woodmont Place "gave me hope," said Rick Cuttone, 51, who said he lives next to a house jammed with 30 Mexican day laborers. "Friday night looks like Grand Central Station" at the house, he said. Yesterday's march started at 33 Woodmont Place, proceeded for a half-mile along Horseblock Road and North Ocean Avenue, and then returned along the same route.

Some motorists beeped their horns in support of the workers, while others shouted that they should go back to Mexico. A man in a convertible said simply, "Another day in Farmingville."

On The O'Reilly Factor last night, Mr. Levy, the Suffolk Country executive who evicted these illegals, stated that there were SIXTY people living in the one 900 square foot house. What the article failed to mention as well was that these people who lived there were DEFECATING in the YARD!

I hope some of you saw O'Reilly last night. This one was just beyond belief.

No place to live? I have a few suggestions:

    1. The homes they still have in their own countries.
    2. The homes of their "advocates."
    3. Church property (how long do you think the churches will allow them to crap and urinate in their churchyards?)

Can you just IMAGINE how those neighbors must have felt. It is just hard to believe that they could POSSIBLY STUFF SIXTY people in a tiny house like that. And, there again--that is just one more way that they are able to come to our country and take our jobs right out from under Americans. They don't mind living 60 to a house like ANIMALS for God's sake. Americans are just not willing, nor should they HAVE to, live like that.

I think this is the one O'Reilly was talking about last night.
Who on earth would want these people living next door to them?

Bootsie, did you see that one of the attacks against Levy was to accuse him of "ethnic cleansing" for enforcing zoning laws?

It's funny that the same people don't accuse Mexico of the same thing, since it's Mexican government policy to encourage these people to leave in the first place.
It's like hell vomited and the Bush administration appeared.

I'm constantly seeing stories about people being busted for having 60 cats living in their house.

Busting a slumlord for filling a house with 60 people appears to be a new civil rights violation, according to the media.
