I was in disbelief when our country allowed the ICE office to be closed down, and remain closed down this long.
How can this be happening in our country? especially after we elected a President to STOP this invasion.

Now the headline at BB---Trump to ‘Extremist’ Democrats: ‘We Will Not Tolerate Attacks’ on ‘Courageous’ ICE Agents, Border Patrol

President Trump you did allow it, you allowed it for several days. Please STOP whining about the Democrats and Congress. You are the CIC of the military.

    Verbal warning????
anyone who resisted leaving the property would face arrest----Arrest NOW! Shutting down a Federal building is not a protest!

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -Dozens of federal authorities responded to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) building in southwest Portland Thursday morning to reopen the facility, twelve days after protesters appeared at the site.
Members of the Federal Protective Service lined up outside 4310 Southwest Macadam Avenue to initiate the reopening of the ICE building, which has faced closures after a camp of demonstrators protesting separations of families at the southern border first surrounded the site on Sunday June 17.
Enforcement officers issued a final verbal warning at 5:29 a.m. to protesters, telling them to leave the scene.
Authorities announced anyone who resisted leaving the property would face arrest.
The line of officers was met with some yelling from protesters, which included expletives.
    Chants included "No racist police."
A tear down of the camp, which includes wooden pallets and tents, started shortly after by officers.

As Department of Homeland Security police officers tried to hand out the notices, protesters tore them up or wouldn’t take them.
    Next time try saying---pretty please....

Federal officers begin evicting protesters from ICE facility in Southwest Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. – Federal officers began moving in on protesters at the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Southwest Portland Thursday morning.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Oregon issued a statement saying officers started a “law enforcement action” to reopen the facility on Southwest Macadam Avenue.
A Department of Homeland Security official said officers arrested several protesters. One man was taken into custody when he did not cooperate with officers' commands.

Federal officials say they are only trying to clear the driveway and entryways of the facility. There is no need to remove the campers that are located nearby, but off federal property.
They say local law enforcement agencies were aware of the eviction.
Protesters tried to create a human barrier in front of the building, but officers say they cooperated and moved.
Once the protesters are cleared, Federal Protective Service officers will remain near the building to guard it.

Protesters shut down the facility on June 20, 2018. They began camping at the federal building and demonstrating on June 17, 2018 after learning that the Trump Administration’s zero-tolerance policy was separating migrant children from their parents at the U.S.-Mexico border.

Federal officers had issued notices to vacate to demonstrators on Monday and again on Tuesday. The notices remind the protesters they’re breaking federal law by blocking the entrance.
As Department of Homeland Security police officers tried to hand out the notices, protesters tore them up or wouldn’t take them.
The protesters have repeatedly said they aren’t going anywhere.
“This group here is ready to move forward and continue doing what we need to do to make sure we abolish ICE,” said Danialle James from the Occupy ICE PDX

The protesters calling themselves Occupy ICE PDX hope their round-the-clock action sparks similar demonstrations nationwide.
The occupation appeared to include a few hundred people, and tents were lined up outside. Signs such as "Refugees Welcome" and "abolish ICE" were taped throughout the property including on the walls of the ICE building.
