Two Illegal Aliens Plead Guilty to Murdering 16-Year-Old With Machete in Texas

    By Brittany M. Hughes | May 5, 2015 | 4:16 PM EDT
(CNSNews.com) -- Two illegal aliens in Walker County, Texas, have pleaded guilty to murdering and dismembering a 16-year-old high school student with a baseball bat and a machete in a national park nearly two years ago. According to investigators, the crime was a revenge killing ordered by the infamously violent Latin American gang Mara Salvatrucha, or MS-13.
Cristian Zamora, 22, and Ricardo Leonel Campos Lara, 19, both from El Salvador, pleaded guilty on April 17 to aiding and abetting each other and others with the murder of 16-year-old Josael Guevara on Sept. 23, 2013, the Houston Chronicle reported.
A third defendant, Jose Leonel Bonilla-Romero, was charged with murder in Walker County. But because Bonilla-Romero was 17 years old at the time of his arrest, he will not face federal charges but will be tried as an adult at the state level, the report said.
Despite being in the country illegally, Zamora had already had at least one run-in with police before being arrested for murder in 2013. On July 25, 2011, Zamora was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license in Walker County, CNSNews.com reported last year.
Court records show Zamora pleaded “no contest” to the charges, was fined $136 and the case was closed. There is no evidence that Zamora’s immigration status came up at any time during the incident.
After Guevara's murder two years later, FBI Special Agent Pilar Lozano, one of several agents working on the case, explained how Zamora, Campos-Lara, and a third juvenile defendant allegedly lured Guevara to Sam Houston National Park with the intent of killing him.
Josael Guevara in picture to right:
During Zamora's detention hearing on July 1, 2014, FBI Special Agent Lozano said interviews with Zamora and his co-defendants also revealed that higher-ups in MS-13 had reportedly ordered a hit on the high school student, who was allegedly a fellow gang member, after he gave “derogatory information” about gang members in El Salvador.
Lozano added that MS-13 kill orders are common and are often used by lower-ranking members to earn higher status within the gang, which she described as being “extremely violent.”
The day of the murder, Zamora and the two other alleged perpetrators drove the unsuspecting teenager to the park in Zamora’s truck, where they got out of the vehicle to use the restroom, Lozano testified.
Bonilla-Romero then struck Guevara in the head with a bat before Zamora began hitting him with the machete, she said.
At the hearing, Assistant U.S. Attorney Mark Donnelly, who is prosecuting the case, said that Guevara was “struck in the head with the bat and also that he was struck repeatedly with the machete.”
Lozano also testified that deleted photos of Guevara’s dismembered body, which had been sent as “proof of death” to two people in Virginia, were recovered from Zamora’s cell phone.
Following Guevara’s murder, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement confirmed to
CNSNews.com that the agency had placed immigration detainers on both Zamora and Campos-Lara for being in the United States illegally.

Zamora and Campos-Lara will be sentenced on July 10. They potentially could face life in prison, the Houston Chronicle reported.

Each time I see our government place immigration detainees on illegal aliens after they rape or kill someone it makes me want to scream and slap someone responsible.

I understand!! My emotions push for more than a slapping. A slap may be adequate for a voter who elected those who oppose secure borders and deportation fully. But for the politicians, aiding and abetting, more discipline is in order, IMO! After all the law is the law.

    Cartels involved?

Texans, you need to ask your law enforcement to determine the involvement of the Cartels. We have previously reported that the Cartels have taken over many if not most of the gangs around the country. We have suspicions that it is much worse in the southwest and especially Texas. If the Cartels are involved, then there is a much bigger story here. Remember that General Kelly of the Southern Command has said that the Cartels pose an "Existential Threat" to the USA. That is not just an off hand comment; it is a warning of imminent danger.

FBI: Gang members chatted about teen's planned killing on Facebook

Suspects of brutal slaying used Facebook to describe planned killing

    By Samantha Ehlinger | July 1, 2014 | Updated: July 1, 2014 9:20pm

When a gang member contracts a hit on someone, the last place you would think the planned killing would be talked about is on Facebook.

But in the 2013 brutal slaying of a Klein Forest High School student on federal land, an FBI special agent testified Tuesday that one of the suspects allegedly discussed the hit on the ubiquitous social network.

Federal Judge George Hanks ordered Tuesday thatCristian Alexander Zamora, 22, be held without bail after listening to evidence detailing his alleged involvement in the murder at Sam Houston National Forest near Huntsville.

Zamora and Ricardo Leonel Campos-Lara, 18, pleaded not guilty in federal court last week to the Sept. 22 slaying of Josael Guevara, 16.
    Derogatory info

The men allegedly hit Guevara on the head with a bat and struck him repeatedly with a machete, said an FBI agent who works on MS-13 cases and asked not to be identified. The two are also accused of trying to dismember the victim.

Search warrants were issued for Zamora's Facebook account, where authorities found a conversation between Zamora, an MS-13 gang member, and an unidentifiable account named "Angelito."

The agent testified Tuesday that Zamora wrote in a Facebook message in Spanish that he was going to "hit" someone. The user for the account named "Angelito" replied about wanting to hear how the victim was dismembered. In a later Facebook message, the agent said Zamora wrote that he used "steel," which the agent surmised was the machete.

The agent said the hit may have been ordered because Guevara gavederogatory information against fellow gang members in El Salvador.

After an anonymous 911 call on Sept. 23, Guevara's body was discovered in the forest. Zamora was arrested hours later. Campos-Lara was arrested in October.

A third man, Jose Bonilla-Romero, 17, was also arrested in October in connection with the murder.

Zamora and Campos-Lara could face the death penalty or life in prison.

Authorities said the three were members of the gang MS-13, which has roots in El Salvador.

The victim had MS-13-related tattoos, and others said he was a gang member, said the agent in court.

In interviews with authorities, all three suspects gave testimony minimizing their own role in the slaying, said Assistant U.S. Attorney Mark Donnelly.

    Found photos

But Walker County authorities said the three men admitted to having some role in Guevara's death.

Campos-Lara said during interviews with authorities that he struck Guevara in the neck and legs, the agent said. Zamora said he struck Guevara in the legs. The agent also said law enforcement discovered Zamora and Guevara knew each other from photos found of the two of them together.

On Campos-Lara's cell phone, investigators also found photos of the victim's body he sent to two people in Virginia, the agent said. Virginia is a known stronghold for MS-13 members.

Officials also said they found a photo of Guevara's body on Zamora's phone in a cached version of his deleted items.

Zamora and Campos-Lara said in interviews with agents that they were threatened by MS-13 members to carry out the hit, the agent said.

Bonilla-Romero was charged with murder in Walker County, and his case is pending.

Federal charges may be brought against him, but he would be charged as a juvenile, said Capt. Tim Whitecotton of the Walker County Sheriff's Office.

Every American needs to start thinking HARD about the role of foreign drug cartels in illegal immigration and many other related problems from human smuggling to human slavery to plots and schemes to steal identities and to hack into our systems. After studying this problem for over 10 years now, I am convinced that every politician in every level of government that in anyway supports any aspect of an illegal alien agenda has been bought up by the cartels. Most Americans don't know that just the illegal drug trade is a $300 billion a year and growing black market business in the United States, over $240 billion of that across the Southern Border. That is a huge enterprise, labor intensive, and because it's illegal requires extraordinary control over all involved in it.

So yes, there is a much bigger story here that's not been investigated or reported on, and it's there, waiting to be told.

That's why I believe after researching this situation for such a long period that for a number of reasons, but illegal immigration chief among them, we need to legalize the illegal drug trade, make it a US citizen only owned and operated domestic enterprise, no imports or exports to avoid international issues, and then regulate it like we regulate every other business, control the quantity and quality, tax it under the FairTax which we also need to pass, then use part of the proceeds only drug users pay to fund the regulators, better education so people know the risks and consequences of using drugs with information packets at time of purchase and proper warnings and directions, and so forth, provide free rehab on demand without stigma to anyone who wants or needs it, and then stop worrying about it.

This shuts down the foreign cartels in our market. This shuts down the stream of illegal aliens funded by cartels to come here and work the trade for the cartels, and with the passage of the FairTax, taxes the drugs as they should be, and because under the FairTax all the cartel fronts posing as 501 C 3 "charities" that promote illegal immigration would like all other 501 C 3's under the FairTax be treated like any other business which for all practical purposes shuts them down. Corporations and the "rich" who fund these tax frauds no longer pay an income tax, thus no longer need to avoid it, and thence stop handing over portions of their profits to orgies that are in every manner possible using the funds to push policies and laws that destroy the United States.

Illegal Immigration is without a doubt the primary tool of foreign drug cartels, so again, anyone supporting illegal immigration is supporting the cartels, and I believe to a man and woman being paid to do so, because there is no other explanation for their behavior.
