Illegal immigrant accused of sexually assaulting young child multiple times

A 36-year-old Belton man has been arrested on charges of molesting a young girl several times in incidents that began four years ago.
Belton Police Investigators say the girl, who was five years old when the incidents began, made a recent outcry that led to the investigation and a warrant for the arrest of 36-year-old Claudio Payan Valenzuela. Police say the investigation moved quickly and the arrest came a short time after the outcry was made.
Valenzuela remains in the Bell County Jail on a charge of Aggravated Sexual Assault with bond set at $200,000.
He will not be allowed to bond out because of an immigration hold that has also been placed on him.
