Fox News reports Maritha Nelson's $240 in food stamps has run out, leaving her $9 in cash and seven people to feed. The 50-year-old single mother, who entered the U.S. by swimming across the Rio Grande, has government funded housing, medication, and $700 a month in Social Security. She's been on assistance for 20 years, and wants others to know that help is available. Florida is teeming with food stamp recruiters…who have a goal: increase federal aid to Florida by $1 billion a year.

An entire nation becoming hooked on welfare, no nation can or should sustain this type of handouts, while the rich on top sends money and jobs to China the welfare crowd sucks from the bottom working class, It does not take an educated person to see the flaws in this type of society common sense is enough to understand this is a pending disaster.

Illegal women I used to work with did exactly that!!!! They all claimed a one income household while hubbies were out working under the table and together they made well over the poverty limit. Infuriating!!!

Why didn't you report her for fraud?

They did that when I worked with their papers too. GRRRR! There was nothing I could do about it because the government only audits a small percentage of them and it wasn't up to me who got audited as they were chosen at random. Besides who is really going to go to their house and count how many people live there or do a stake out to see who really lives in the home?

Oh and they used to walk in in their work uniforms and claim they only made $1,000 a month. That's what multiple id's are for-these people have one id to work with and one id to claim welfare and school benefits with. Funny they are called "undocumented" when in reality they should be called faux documented.
