Yes, but she won't be paying to go get him, or prosecute him or incarcerate him. I feel sorry for her, but we don't want to pay to house illegal aliens in our jails for their crimes. We want them the hell out of here.

I disagree. If an illegal alien commits a crime of this magnitude against an American citizen, he needs punished!
You have a strange way of looking at this (IMO). If it were an American citizen that committed the rape, I'm sure you would want to see them punished ..... or would you?
Yes, I would because the American citizen is in our country and is our responsibility. An illegal alien who has flown the coup to his home country is now where he belongs, is not in our country and is not our responsibility. The victim needs to sue Uber for all they're worth and she'll feel much better.
I understand she won't see justice, and that's a shame. But what is the point of our wanting to get rid of illegal aliens when you want to go fish 'em back from Ghana to be put in jail for years at our expense? They'll probably try to find him and extradite him, but to what end for our country?
It's called the rule of law. Either we're a country of laws or we're not. The laws of our country are supposed to be obeyed by everyone, even those here illegally. Those that break the law, illegal or not, need to be punished accordingly. Rape is a very serious crime and needs to be punished as such. Why should we ignore a crime just because the criminal elected to evade prosecution by skedaddling out of the country? The long arm of the law needs to work. No matter where you run or hide, we'll find you and punish you!
If we were a "country of laws", he wouldn't have been in our country driving for Uber in a sanctuary city to begin with.
Yes, rape is a very serious crime, and everyone involved in aiding, abetting and hiring this piece of shit needs the long arm of the law right up their back sides when they're thrown in the slammer.
So we shouldn't allow foreigners into our country for any reason? This guy had a passport. He wasn't an illegal alien. If you take a sabbatical to Europe, you shouldn't be able to get a job to sustain yourself while you are there? And if he had no previous record, why should Uber be raked through eh coals? Yes, they have a liability, but you are blaming the employer (contractor) for the crimes of the person.
Rape, like murder, is a crime against humanity in most civilized countries. If such a crime is committed in California and the criminal flees to Florida, will they not be extradited back to California? Most countries in the world recognize extradition. It is logical to bring the alleged assailant back to the jurisdiction where the crime was committed rather than take all the witnesses to the jurisdiction where the assailant has fled to. There should be no safe haven for a criminal.
Yeah, I saw you make a point of him having a "passport". It's a GHANA passport and most illegal aliens have their home country passports with them when they come here. Just because they have a passport from their home country doesn't make them legal in our country. They have to have US-issued immigration documents to be here legally.
The article says he's an illegal alien, and I'm sure he is, who else would get a $10,000 bail for RAPE??!!!
Exactly, that's why we don't need him in "safe haven" sanctuary cities in the US. Ghana will take care of him. This isn't his first rape, you can count on that, so there will be outstanding warrants on his ass in Ghana. We just need to let them know he's back home so they can go pick him up. I'd send them his DNA also. I surmise a Ghana prison isn't half as nice as ours.Quote:

Oh please, you can't possibly know that he has warrants in Ghana and you can't be assured they'll do anything even when notified. Nope, he needs to be brought back here for prosecution. After all, this is where the crime was committed and this is where the witness is! You're claiming to know things you have no way of possibly knowing.Quote:
