4 undocumented immigrants indicted on illegal reentry, false citizenship charges

WAKE COUNTY (WTVD) -- According to the United States Attorney for the Eastern District of North Carolina, four undocumented immigrants have been indicted on several charges including illegal reentry.

Records show 25-year-old Jelber Lopez-Sanchez, of Guatemala, 48-year-old Juan Segura-Gomez, of Mexico, and 32-year-old Kevin Terrasa, of Mexico, were charged with illegal reentry of a deported alien.

Additionally, a federal grand jury in Raleigh has returned an indictment charging 32-year-old Jose Martinez-Lainez, of Honduras, with false representation of a social security account number, false representation of United States citizenship with intent to engage in unlawful employment in the United States, and aggravated identity theft.

If convicted, Lopez-Sanchez, Segura-Gomez, and Terrasa would face maximum penalties of a two-year imprisonment, a $250,000 fine, and a term of supervised release following any term of imprisonment.

While Martinez-Lainez would face maximum penalties of a 24-year imprisonment, a $250,000 fine, and a term of supervised release following any term of imprisonment.
