The state with the nation’s largest illegal immigrant population offers free acute medical care—including expensive organ transplants and the costly follow-up treatment required after the complicated surgery—to those who notify federal authorities that they are in the country illegally.

Outrageous as it may seem, California has a little-known program that allows sick illegal immigrants over the age of 21 to get the federal and state-funded health coverage known as Medi-Cal if they notify U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services that the are in the country illegally.

If illegal immigrants with serious health problems inform the state in writing that U.S. Immigration Services is “aware of their presence and does not plan to deport themâ€

We are 43th in the World in medicine for Industrialize nations . Maybe they have to give them away<sic> .

If I walked into a hospital and said I was illegal, would I get free health care? Do they send them a bill or do they just walk out the door scott free?

If I lost my health insurance and had to have an expensive operation, you can be sure that the doctors and hospitals would attach my paycheck and assets -- but for these illegal foreigners, another free ride -- at our expense!

Yeah , your so right . Doctors attemped to lein my home after my open-heart . I had no recourse but to file bankrupty to keep the wolfs from the door . No free ride for a citizen . But ya know , i either pay the doctors or pay my tax bill . I paid my tax bill = lessor of two evils

Yep, they tried to go after my dad almost immediately after an emergency surgery he needed and a 10 day hospital stay. He fought like a pit bull and told them to piss off and that he wasn't going BK while paying for illegals health care. He bartered them down to about a tenth of what they were going to charge him.

This is what we all should be doing. Maybe then the medical establishment and our traitorous government will get the message.

that is horrible My uncle has been on kidney dialisis for 10 years and still hasent gotten any calls for a kidney transplant! I dont want to pay taxes anymore because I am ashamed what the money goes to!
