Immigrant rights groups have blood on their hands

Immigrant rights groups have blood on their hands after Border Patrol shooting

Douglas, AZ- Border Patrol Agents from Douglas Station were out tracking three suspected illegal aliens north of the U.S./ Mexican border, like any other night, at any other Border Patrol station in Tucson Sector. But, this night would end in tragedy. According to a press release by the Cochise County Sheriffs Office, A 28-year-old man was shot to death after he "aggressively" threw rocks at an agent and a Border Patrol dog during an encounter. Border Patrol Agents were in an area known as Bay Acres, northeast of Douglas, following the suspected immigrants. Agents had followed three immigrants to a remote area east of Douglas before they lost sight of the suspects.

One of the men was eventually found hiding under a tree and refused to come out. From the initial reports, rocks were thrown by the suspected illegal alien, and a foot chase ensued with other Border Patrol Agents. The agents continued to track the fleeing suspect. An agent fired two shots at the man after he attempted to assault the agent. The man died while he was being taken by helicopter to a Tucson hospital. The agent was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries sustained during the incident. The dog was treated at a veterinarian for injuries after getting struck by a rock.

More reports will be filed and investigations will be completed, but one investigation will still remain unsolved. Why did this happen? The Cochise County Sheriff, and FBI will conduct their investigations and determine Who, What, Where, When and How this happened but "Why" it happened will never be answered because the suspect is dead and his irrational motives will remain unknown. The Sheriff's Department is reporting that the man is from Mexico, but it is unknown from what part but why he threw the rocks will remain unknown.

While immigrant rights groups throw their arms in the air and try to twist this into something other than what happened, or try to point the finger at the agents at the scene, the U.S. Border Patrol and the Department of Homeland Security; they need to take a long hard look at the role they play on the U.S./Mexican Border, and the consequences of their actions. Assaults on Border Patrol Agents in the Tucson Sector have nearly tripled in the last year and if it were not for the Border Patrol Search and Rescue Team (BORSTAR), and trained Border Patrol EMTs, the deaths in the desert last year would have been much higher.

For a very long time immigrant rights groups such as, No More Deaths, Coalicion de Derachos Humanos, Samaritan Patrol, La Raza, and even our own ACLU have gone without blame for any of these incidents, but it is about time we realize that these groups aide and abet the human trafficking and drug smuggling organizations that earn millions of dollars every year pushing their cargo across the Arizona desert. These groups continue to give aid, shelter, and legal guidance to foreign nationals that violate the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) and the soverignty of the United States of America.

Setting water bottles out in the hot Sonoran desert is probably the most benign of the activities of these groups, but it aids the smuggler in pushing his human cargo further to their destination. Many drug mules walk the same trails as the human trafficking organizations, and are always glad that they do not have to carry extra water with them when they are carrying a 40 pound pack of marijuana on their backs.

Once these "migrants" arrive at a safehouse they are often locked sometimes 30 in one room, given very little food and water, and are then told to call a relative in their home country to wire more money or they will be killed. Men women and children have been killed, mutilated and decapitated in Mexico over control of the marijuana supply route from northern Sonora into Tucson, AZ and then the rest of the United States.

This is dangerous, nasty and ugly business, and these "immigrant rights" groups out of their ignorance and naivety think they are helping the problem when they are actually making it much worse. These do- gooders need to stay at home and read to a child or help a veteran walk again and stay out of the desert before more blood is spilled.

    we know why it hannened.
it happened because the dead man was sneaking into the country illegally and instead of obeying orders to surrender he decided to fight.
