ESCONDIDO, Calif. (KGTV) - An immigration hold is in effect for the man accused of trying to kidnap a teenage girl on her way to school in North San Diego County, Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials said Tuesday.

Escondido Police said Edgar Gutierrez grabbed the girl on Linwood St. on Aug. 31. She fought him off and escaped unharmed. Witnesses took a photo, which officers used to find Gutierrez.
Gutierrez was arrested the next day after a former coworker saw the news reports.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement issued a statement to 10News:

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has lodged an immigration detainer against Mr. Gutierrez-Gonzalez. ICE places immigration detainers when the agency possesses probable cause to believe an alien is amenable to removal proceedings. Detainers serve as a legally-authorized request, upon which a law enforcement agency may rely, to continue to maintain custody of an alien for up to 48 hours so that ICE may assume custody for removal purposes. Consistent with ICE policy, all ICE detainers are submitted with an accompanying administrative arrest warrant or warrant of removal depending upon the circumstances of the individual case. In addition to being amenable to removal proceedings, Mr. Gutierrez-Gonzalez has prior criminal convictions, including one for DUI.

Absolutely disgusting that we have to put up with these deranged individuals amongst us. They do not feel threatened because of the sanctuary cities and how they are still continuing to operate as such. And w/o an E-verify mandate for every job, they can find work easily.

South of the border has a lot of inbreeding as they rape their 12 yr old daughters, nieces etc. Anyone in their right mind that is illegally living in a country & attempts to abduct a female in broad daylight obviously needs to be removed. No bail, no release and come back for a court date, no long free attorney appeals. Instant removal, get out! Since we can only tell when they are "caught" at such behaviour, all illegals should be removed.
