The decision involves the legality of a new U.S. Department of Homeland Security rule that focuses on a company’s responsibility in verifying employment eligibility, based on letters that the Social Security Administration sends out.
“The rule has a lot of people fearful because there are many employers on the Central Coast that have received those letters in the past,â€Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Notice all the scare stories from the special interests who know that even if the no-match letters are ever issued, they won't do much as was revealed shortly after Chertoff proclaimed this alleged "crackdown."
Still, symbolically and psychologically at least, it would be good if the no match letters are allowed to go out.
The federal judge who will decide how to proceed tomorrow is
Judge Charles R. Breyer, US District Court, Northern District of California:
Monday 10/01/2007
02:30 PM (r)C-07-4472 AM Federation of Labor & Congress of Industrial Org v Michael Chertoff
Motions for Preliminary Injunction
(P's, Chamber of Commerce, et al., UFCW)
BTW Charles Breyer is from San Francisco, was appointed by Clinton, and is the brother of Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
