Immigration Is Low on House To-Do List
In the month of July, House Republicans can look forward to tackling legislation dealing with energy, education and government oversight, according to a memo sent Friday by House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R., Va.). Oh, and maybe immigration.
Before lawmakers left for the Fourth of July recess, the Senate passed a sweeping, bipartisan bill that would mark the biggest overhaul of immigration laws since the 1980s. But enthusiasm in the House for an immigration rewrite is far dimmer, with Friday’s memo providing fresh evidence. Immigration doesn’t warrant its own section of the three-page memo from Mr. Cantor mapping out the House’s legislative agenda this month. Instead, it’s covered under “a few additional items” at the end.
“The House may begin consideration of the border security measures that have been passed by the Homeland Security and Judiciary Committees and begin reviewing other immigration proposals,” Mr. Cantor wrote, noting that Republicans will meet on Wednesday to discuss the topic.
Mr. Cantor also tucked in to the memo’s conclusion that the House may revisit the farm bill, after earlier legislation unexpectedly failed in late June. Lawmakers “should be prepared to act on a revised farm bill,” Mr. Cantor wrote. The memo didn’t include details of what a tweaked farm bill could look like, but Mr. Cantor had been consideringsplitting funding for food stamps from core farm programs that need reauthorizing, a senior Republican aide said before the recess.

The, "Don't worry the House is not going to pass an amnesty bill." statements should always be taken with a healthy dose of skepticism. Don't relax for a moment. Encouraged by the way the amnesty bill, S. 744, was rammed through the Senate, the open borders lobby smells blood and is energized to push amnesty through to completion. You can be certain they are going full speed to pressure weak kneed Republicans, even as I type this message. The opportunistic, and RINO Republicans will dissert us in a second if they get more phone calls and pressure from open borders lackeys than they get from patriots fighting amnesty. If we do in fact have an advantage in the House of Representatives, we must be vigilant to preserve it by constantly applying pressure from our side, or one day we could wake up and wonder how the house rolled over and also approved amnesty. Don't relax, don't let the enemy win by default. If a house version of an immigration bills goes to a conference committee to work out a "compromise" bill with the Senate, the "compromise" bill that comes out of the conference committee could well have amnesty stuck right back into it. And with all Democrat Congressmen and enough gutless Republicans voting for it, it is not inconceivable that the new bill would be approved by a majority vote in the House. If that happens the game is really lost. Remember Marko Rubio. Remember that 15 Republican Senators voted with the Democrats for amnesty including two, Corker and Alexander, from the very conservative, anti amnesty state of Tennessee. Stay vigilant, keep up the pressure.

Yep.
Follow the money. The super rich see an opportunity to destroy American sovereignty and run this country for their own benefit.
