A Special Message from Ramsey Clark: What's At Stake
Our impeachment ads in the New York Times, San Francisco Chronicle, and Boston Globe show that we can make a difference. They broke the media silence on the call for Impeachment and have helped spark widespread discussion of the grounds and basis for taking this necessary constitutional step. The ads have reached millions of people and generated tens of thousands of new votes for impeachment.
The New York Times carried the Impeachment message in the first section, full page, to readers of more than a million copies of the National Edition and the New York Edition of the New York Times. The most recent ad in the San Francisco Chronicle reached people all over Northern California.
We are planning for the next ad to appear soon in the USA Today newspaper. The impeachment movement will reach people all over the country with this next ad. We can continue to place these ads with the contributions of those are committed to the impeachment movement. Please help by making a contribution. You can make a donation on-line or by sending a check. Click here to help with your donation.
Spreading the word with more newspaper ads, getting more people to vote for Impeachment, increasing our organizing and fundraising efforts - this can make Impeachment a major issue in the 2006 midterm Congressional elections. A committed effort over the next months can move Impeachment to the forefront in the elections and to the floor of the House of Representatives which has the "sole power of Impeachment," and onto the Senate for trial.
Ads in newspapers in Congressional Districts can help activate impeachment organizing to bring the issue home to members and candidates where their election will be decided.
