A baby boy was kidnapped Monday from a Socorro home after threats to his mother were made.

The two-month old boy was identified as Daniel Tarin. He was found Tuesday morning in front of his house.

Socorro police said that at about 9:45 p.m. Monday four suspects with their faces partially covered broke into a house on Holstein Street in Socorro and grabbed the boy in a baby seat to then escape in a dark blue pick up truck and a white SUV.

Police said the boy's mother, Alicia Gonzalez-Galvan, told investigators she recognized one of the suspects as a woman who has ties with a drug cartel.

Gonzalez-Galvan told police she was stabbed in 2010 in a drug related case and that may be the reason for abduction.

The case is under investigation. Police is asking anyone with information related to the case to call 858-6085.
