IL - Lake County wins with Sheriff Curran
Recently commentary by Lake County Sheriff Mark Curran was featured in several Lake County news publications urging that the rule of law must be enforced.
Elected as a Democrat in 2006, Sheriff Curran switched to the Republican Party in December of 2008. In attendance at the time, I was impressed with Curran then and have continued to applaud his strong and principled stance which favors the enforcement of the rule of law.
While a Democrat, everything Curran did was met with media approval. After his switch, the media did a double take, even though Curran’s adherence to the rule of law never wavered. Somehow the “Râ€

We need more people like Sheriff Curran! Bravo!
It seems that our Gov't pretends that the laws on the books regarding illegals should not be enforced yet they want to grant Amnesty and expect all of us to respect it as the law. Some laws are meant to be broken. The American people didn't ask the illegals to come here and they sure as heck don't want to pay for the illegals and their anchors!

How interesting that the new mayor of Waukegan promised to drop the 287g program when it's the county, not the city, that made application. The mayor needs to study civics if he thinks the mayor determines county policy. Pulled one over on the illegals though.
