    Sessions worries about economy

    GUNTERSVILLE — U.S. Sen. Jeff Sessions expressed concerns about the country’s economic woes and national defense strategy during his speech in front of about 125 people at a town hall meeting Tuesday night in the Guntersville Senior Center.

    But when the Republican lawmaker stayed at the podium for a Q&A session after his speech, the audience peppered him with half a dozen questions about illegal immigration.

    And he did not offer much in the way of answers, or hope for stricter enforcement anytime soon.

    Sessions said immigration reform is not a priority with President Barack Obama, just like it wasn’t with former President George W. Bush.

    Despite constant overwhelmingly "pro-immigrant" (including illegal) propaganda by the media, business interests, educational institutions, and major religious groups illegal immigration obviously is a primary concern of U.S. citizens across our entire country - not just in N.Y., Calif., and Tex.!
