Join the Minutemen in your State
    By Jan Herron

U.S. Government Printing Office, 732 N. Capitol Street, NW, Washington, DC 20401

In order to become a citizen of theUnited States, or to be naturalized, a person must meet certain requirements:

Be at least 18 years old.

Have lived in the U.S.as a legal resident for at least 5 years.

Be of good moral character and loyal to theU.S.

Be able to read, write, speak and understand basic English.

Have basic knowledge and understanding of the history, government structure and the Constitution of the U.S.

Be willing to take an oath of allegiance to the U.S.

Whoops - I guess that the above leaves out about 12 million ILLEGALES from (down) Nogales way. (Editor)

It's obvious the Minutemen Project has awakened our representative government in Washington and even governors and state legislators throughout the country are taking notice. Senator Clinton is asking for an appointment of a Border Security Czar, Senator Allard wants to deputize private citizens to help secure U. S. borders and Governor Schwarzenegger wants to "close" or "secure" our porous borders. Talk radio is flooded daily with calls wanting secure or closed borders. Perhaps, finally, a government which allows over 20 million illegal aliens to camp out in our country is starting to smell the salsa!

Yes, I would say that the Minutemen are to be commended and praised for their courage and conviction. These brave patriots understand the meaning of ILLEGAL and gave their time, their money and their love of freedom to protect our porous borders.

God Bless all of these patriots for doing a job our government refuses to do. Why not go to their site and join these patriots in the fight for our sovereignty. It's coming to your State soon! State-by-State you can take back your country.

A question we need answered is....

Can the 17-18 year old children of illegal aliens that were not born in the US apply for citizenship as HB 1183 asks? Im getting some mixed information. A lot of people are saying you cant apply for citizenship once you are already in the US illegally.

Can anyone locate the facts on this?

This is quoting Susan Tully from FAIR, but I am pretty sure that a person MUST leave and return to their home country to "apply". Also, if they have been in the US illegally for 5 years or more, I believe that they have LOST the ability to do so.

Again, the above is based on my memory, not on research of statute law.
