El Paso Sector CBP BP Agents Nab Suspected Killer

Lordsburg, N.M. - U.S. Border Patrol El Paso Sector agents working in the Lordsburg, N.M. area arrested a man on Friday, August 17, who is wanted for a suspected homicide in Omaha, Nebraska. Agents assigned to the Lordsburg Border Patrol station were patrolling the border in a remote area of southwestern New Mexico when they arrested a citizen of Mexico identified as 51-year-old Oscar Rosario Hernandez. CBP Border Patrol Agents Arrest International Homicide Suspect

Tucson, Ariz. - Last Friday, Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents apprehended an illegal immigrant wanted for homicide in Mexico.Ajo Station agents apprehended four individuals who entered the U.S. illegally. During processing, record checks revealed one of the men, Remigio Lopez-Alvarez, age 32, had an active homicide warrant from Chiapas, Mexico. (more)

Brownsville, Texas - U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers at the Veterans' International Bridge at the Brownsville port of entry intercepted a woman for alleged violations of immigration law. Nogales CBP Officers Arrest Drug Smuggler

Nogales, Ariz. - Four Mexican nationals were arrested in separate incidents over the weekend for attempting to smuggle drugs through the Dennis DeConcini port of entry. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers referred David Elias Lechuga Esquer, 22, from Nogales, Sonora, Mexico, for inspection of his Chevrolet truck Friday when he attempted to enter the United States. CBP U.S. Border Patrol Weekly Blotter, Blaine Sector August 2 – August 15 (Monday, August 20, 2012) Blaine, Wash. – The information listed below is from arrests and seizures related to the U.S. Border Patrol in the Blaine Sector area of operations. For security reasons, this may not be a complete list of enforcement actions. 08/03/2012 – Five subjects were observed crossing the U.S./Canada border and entering a vehicle north of Lynden, Washington. Sumas Border Patrol agents responded to the area and encountered a vehicle that matched the description of the one seen near the border area. The five subjects, citizens of India, were determined to be present in the United States illegally. The driver of the vehicle, a citizen of Canada, was determined to be in violation of status. The suspects were placed under arrest and processed for removal. 08/03/2012 – Bellingham Border Patrol agents responded to a request for assistance from the Tulalip Police Department regarding a subject they had detained in Marysville, Washington. The individual, a citizen of Mexico, admitted being present in the United States illegally. The subject was placed under arrest and processed for removal. 08/11/2012 – While patrolling the border, Sumas Border Patrol agents witnessed two individuals cross the United States/Canada border east of Sumas, Washington. The subjects, citizens of India illegally present in the United States, were placed under arrest and processed for removal. 08/14/2012 – Two subjects were observed crossing the U.S./Canada border and entering a vehicle north of Lynden, Washington. Nearby Sumas Border Patrol agents responded to the area, encountered the vehicle and performed a vehicle stop. Both subjects, citizens of India, admitted to being present in the United States illegally. The suspects were placed under arrest and processed for removal.
