ICE orders release of 4 illegal immigrants!

ICE orders release of 4 illegal immigrants

    By TOM RAGAN (Staff Writer)
    Published: June 24, 2011

Four illegal immigrants caught in Beaver Meadows since Wednesday were ordered to be released by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency, the borough police chief said.

On Thursday afternoon, police stopped a blue Honda Accord that was traveling 57 mph in a 35 mph zone on Route 93, Beaver Meadows Police Chief Michael Morresi said.

The driver, Robert Isaac Rivera-Campos, 22, of El Salvador, could not produce proof of insurance for the car, which had an expired registration and Maryland plates, Morresi said. One of the three passengers had a valid Maryland driver's license but the other two were from Honduras and had fake identifications, he said. ICE was notified and discovered the driver and the two men from Honduras - 33-year-old Carlos Cordona and 24-year-old Walter Borgas - were in this country illegally for six years. All four men were most recently living in Baltimore.

Rivera-Campos was cited for speeding and having no license; Cordona and Borgas were cited for having false identifications. ICE refused to pick them up, according to Morresi, because they had no criminal records; however, Morresi discovered one of the men was charged with assault. Since it was a recent incident, the charge did not appear in the system, he said.

About 5:30 p.m. Morresi said three of the men went to the impound lot and asked an attendant if they could retrieve something out of the vehicle. Morresi said the three illegals jumped in the car and drove off toward Hazleton.

On Wednesday, Morresi stopped 24-year-old Cezar Ramirez-Cortes for speeding on Route 93. An investigation revealed that Ramirez-Cortes, who did not have a criminal record, was originally from Mexico and had been stopped for speeding six times in the past four years he has been in the U.S. illegally. Beaver Meadows police cited him for speeding, driving without a license and driving with a suspended license. His vehicle was impounded because he is a habitual offender, Morresi said.

Ramirez-Cortes can re-claim his car but must show proof of ownership and have a valid driver's license and insurance. ICE was notified but since he had no criminal record Morresi had to drive him to the Carbon County line and release him on foot.

A similar incident occurred in May when a speeding illegal immigrant produced a Mexican registration card as identification, two public benefit Access cards bearing different names and $3,000 in cash. At the time, an ICE official said he was not detained because "the subject was not arrested and charged with a crime by the local department, did not have a criminal record and is not a fugitive from ICE, the subject was not a priority case and a detainer was not placed."

It will come to a head very soon. This is outright criminal behavior on the part of our law enforcement and justice department. THIS CANNOT STAND OR WE AS A NATION NO LONGER HAVE RULE OF LAW BUT OF ANARCHY.
...I call on you in the name of Liberty, of patriotism & everything dear to the American character, to come to our aid...

Obama is the reason those crime committing illegals weren't deported. It's the policy of his administration to just cut them loose back on society!

Thanks Obama for the Policy Amnesty and thanks for the crime and illegal activity in our communities.

Well if the Feds don't want to do the job of enforcing the law then let the states do it. Maybe a state run deportation system. Ship em out and toss em over the wall. What are the Feds gonna do...go into mexico and pull them back?

ICE releases illegal alien suspects in Pennsylvania town…again
    Dave Gibson
    June 24, 2011

Between Wednesday evening and Thursday morning, police in Beaver Meadows, PA, picked up four illegal aliens on traffic violations. Immigration and Customs Enforcement refused to issue detainers on any of the suspects, so all were released.

While this story has made many Beaver Meadows residents angry, it is not the first time ICE has refused to hold illegal aliens arrested in this town.

On May 9, state and local officials in Pennsylvania held a press conference to announce their displeasure with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), after the agency failed to issue a detainer on an illegal alien arrested the previous week by Beaver Meadows Police Chief Mike Morresi.

The suspect, Oswaldo Tlamis-Perez, 30, was pulled over by Chief Morresi on Route 93 for speeding. When asked for his identification, the driver presented a Mexican voter registration card and ACCESS welfare benefit cards from two different states.

Tlamis-Perez admitted to being in the country illegally for the past six years, and charged with speeding and driving without a license.

When Chief Morresi contacted ICE, he was told to release the illegal alien.

State Rep. Doyle Heffley, R-122, said he and the other local officials are not happy with the way Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials handled the arrest of a man stopped last week by Beaver Meadows police for speeding and found to be an illegal alien.

Following news of the incident, Rep. Lou Barletta (R-PA) wrote the following note to ICE officials: “Please tell me what policy, if any, ICE uses to determine how to detain illegal aliens who have violated the law and are in our country illegally. If the illegal immigrant does not possess a valid U.S. address, how does ICE account for their whereabouts if they refuse to respond to the charges that are filed? Furthermore, if an illegal immigrant is in the country illegally and taking advantage of public benefits is ICE required to notify the proper governmental agencies?â€

ACCESS welfare card from two states?
In the country illegally for six years?
Charged with speeding and driving without a license?

I guess it's going to take him driving, drunk and killing someone for ICE to finally take notice?

I've been out of work for more than two years. I've not getting any help. This guy gets welfare from two states and he's illegal?

AND WE WANT EVEN MORE GOVERNMENT?????

Government inaction on arresting and deporting illegals is, unfortunately, nothing new. A Los Angeles police officers once arrested an illegal alien gang member after he committed a crime. The officer learned that this illegal was later deported. But the same officer saw this gang member back on LA streets just 2 weeks later! The officer wanted to arrest him again for illegal re-entry, but knew he wasn't allowed, because of LA's sanctuary policies.

I called several congressional offices (all GOP since the Democrats don't care and even encourage and abet this). I also mentioned the u-tube video about the wic office in the northern part of my state dispensing hundreds of millions of dollars annually in wic benefits to illegal aliens using stolen and fraudulent identities and many more with no identification who walk into the office and obtain whatever they want with no questions asked. I had the feeling that not one staffer from any office seemed to care or even wanted to talk about it. They couldn't get rid of me fast enough. This is where our tax dollars are going...Both parties have formed an unholy alliance to keep the borders open for cheap illegal alien labor for their Chamber of Commerce, Corporate, business masters and new dues paying union members and illegal alien voters.
You can't implement fiscal reform by reducing the skyrocketing costs of health care and other social programs caused in large part by our wide open borders and unchecked illegal immigration by never ending hordes of impoverished and uneducated humanity. We are in deep deep feces.........
There is no freedom without the law. Remember our veterans whose sacrifices allow us to live in freedom.
