Kentucky ranks highest for inbound migrations

Kentucky in 2010 was the state with the highest percentage, 63 percent, of inbound transfers, according to Atlas Van Lines, which has tracked executive migration through an annual study since 1993.

The state ranks just behind the anomalous Washington, D.C., and ahead of Arizona, Georgia and Maryland in the top five.

According to a survey of human resources executives, Kentucky had 1,189 inbound moves and 843 outbound moves. This is the 10th straight year that Kentucky has been an "inbound" state.

That compares favorably with nearby states: Ohio had the highest outbound migration rate, 65 percent, and Indiana had the second-highest, 58 percent.

Kentucky's stable housing market was cited as one reason companies with a presence in multiple states chose to move people into the state.

This isn't about illegal aliens migrating to KY.
It's about people in other states migrating to KY.

I doubt that's true. Catholic Immigration services around here spares no expense, and they're funded by the full faith and credit of the United States taxpayer. The area duck's in is known to illegals nationwide.

Here in my home town there are churches paying moving companies to move illegals in.They start by the ones going there they talk about their families and friends moving here and the church puts up the money and moves them.I know there are some that are not illegal moving in from other states by relocating for jobs,but more and more you see hispanics in moving trucks from Georgia alabama and Tenn.getting away from these states immigration laws.Tobacco season just around the corner.Here in Shelbyville Ky.its been called Little Tijuana mexico for several years now.Mexican or hispanic population ranks around 78% now i think.

78% is my call and nobody elses if you lived here in my area you would think it was 78%,but john if i thought this was going to be such a conflict hell i wouldnt even posted. thanks duckman

Our government here is trying to say there are only 52,000 illegals here and that's a damn lie strait up!
