Teens Disciplined for Controversial Fliers

FOREST GROVE - Three high school students are in trouble for expressing their opinion over illegal immigration.

The teens were disciplined after passing out fliers on campus at Forest Grove High School.

School officials say they stopped the kids because the flier wasn't approved ahead of time.

Freshman Dalton Gallamore was one of the students who made the flier, and says the it was a response to an upcoming rally where protesters will demonstrated against new immigration reform laws.

But others say it goes too far, making threats against illegal immigrants.

School officials tell FOX 12 the flier would not have been allowed anyway because they consider some of the content threatening. :

Legal experts say kids do not have absolute First Amendment protection on campus and school officials can censor certain material for certain reasons

Why aren't they censoring the other side? Why do non-citizens have more rights than legal citizens? I hope the kids do understand this.

Hello....How did my story get to you guys??? Well i am a 15 year old student and i did what i did because the immigrants legal aand non can do what ever they want... when i do something i get punished..That is just wrong.. any one wanting me to email a copy of the letter i passed out email me at daltongallamore@yahoo.com... When I was in grade school I had a teacher that had prayer every morning, he had the blessing at lunch every day, he played the piano and we sang patriotic songs every morning and we stood around the flag pole and said the pledge every morning ... he was one of the most patriotic teachers I ever had

I applaud you!!! No offense to you, but so many kids have no idea what is at stake (my 8 year old does, because that's all he hears :D ). But most kids are being brainwashed by teachers and don't know the truth. Thanks for taking a stand. It takes a lot of courage and you are making a difference. SUPPORT OUR COUNTRY!

IN A RECENT TURN OF EVENTS WE HAVE FOUND OUR COUNTIES PRIDE IN JEOPARDY. IT SEEMS THAT PEOPLE ARE STARTING TO BELIEVE THAT ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES ARE NOT ONLY OKAY, BUT SHOULD BE SUPPORTED. I SAY THAT IT IS THESE KIND OF PEOPLE THAT ARE THE REAL TERRORIST THREAT TO OUR SOCIETY! THESE ARE THE KIND OF PEOPLE THAT CAUSE MASS UPRISINGS, AND GET INNOCENT BISTANDERS HURT! IT IS THESE KIND OF PEOPLE THAT ABUSE OUR COUNTRIES FREEDOMS! IT IS THESE KIND OF PEOPLE THAT NEED TO BE STOPPED!
I AM TALKING ABOUT THE CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT OF ILLEGAL ALIENS IN OUR COUNTRY. THESE ILLEGAL ALIENS BELIEVE THAT THEY DESERVE THE VERY RIGHTS THAT WE AS LEGAL AMERICANS ENJOY. BY LETTING ILLEGAL PEOPLE LIVE IN OUR COUNTRY WE RISK THE INTEGRITY OF OUR LAWS. WHAT WILL BE NEXT? ARE WE GOING TO LET RAPISTS AND MURDERERS WALK THE STREETS? THEY ARE ILLEGAL TOO ARENT THEY? DO THEY DESERVE THE RIGHTS THAT THE REST OF US HAVE? DO THEY DESERVE TO LIVE IN A HOUSE AND WORK IN NORMAL JOBS, AND RECEIVE WAGES THAT LEGAL AND HONEST AMERICANS SHOULD BE GETTING? They should re-phrase that to say 'Only American kids do not have absolute first amendment protection on campus.'

Being in high school, it is sometimes harder to get information out. Make sure you abide by the rules at your school regarding postings. However, continue to stand strong and don't be discouraged by those who will call you names and single you out. Stick to the facts and stand up for what's right :D
