    kcso becomes first tenn. agency in secure communities

    The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has chosen the Knox County Sheriff’s Office to be the first law enforcement agency in Tennessee to become a member of the Secure Communities program.
    Secure Communities is ICE’s comprehensive strategy to improve and modernize the identification and removal of criminal aliens from the United States.
    It helps ICE transform criminal alien immigration enforcement agency wide, while satisfying a congressional mandate to increase information sharing between federal agencies.
    Right now all fingerprints are sent to the TBI and FBI. Under this new program, fingerprints will now be sent to ICE as well.
    If the person identified is a criminal alien, then a detainer is put on that inmate until an ICE agent takes the person into custody.
    The goal dos Secure Communities is to:
    Identify aliens in law enforcement custody, through modernized technology, continual data analysis and timely information sharing;
    Prioritize enforcement action to apprehend and remove criminal aliens who pose the greatest threat to public safety;
    Transform criminal alien immigration enforcement to efficiently identify, process and remove criminal aliens from the United States.

    So, we are just concerned with the criminals.

    Who cares about me being physically threatened with five Hispanic women on the job.

    Who cares about my car being hit by three illegals with no insurance. (I'm assuming they were illegal because two ran and the third had a hard time producing ID.)

    Who cares about my HOA dues going up because the Hispanic names on the member register were not paying their dues. (Might have been legal. They just know they are exempt from our rules of any kind.)

    Who cares about all the homes around the safe house in my neighborhood being robbed.

    Who cares about the mail boxes by the safe house being broken in to and mail stolen.

    Who cares about what illegals are doing that is not classified as violent except for the victims, that no one is listening to?

    Nashville, TN has the 297g, a very worthwhile partnership with ICE and Homeland Security for identifying illegal alien criminals. The Bradley County,TN Sheriff Department, under Sheriff Tim Gobble, sought the 287g partnership, and was granted the CAP, Criminal Alien Program, to deal with criminal illegal aliens. The Tennessee Highway Patrol has some 287g training also.

    Now that Knox County has the Secure Communities, more illegal aliens will hopefully be identified. The sad part for the state of Tennessee, is that illegal immigration is destroying communities, taking jobs from Americans, bringing crime, and corrupt politicians and businesses are okey dokey with it all.

    Some people to contact in Tennessee to get Arizona legislation going - Senator Bill Ketron, Representatives Tony Shipley, Eric Watson, Kevin Brooks, and others. Mike Bell, now a Representative, is seeking a Tennessee Senate seat. Every member of the Tennessee legislature should receive calls and emails with inclusion of the Arizona legislation, and a big "p.s." attached that says, "Read it."

    Representative Tony Shipley says that bill HB 1137, one that he sponsored in the Tennessee legislature, is "Arizona-like" legislation. He plans to bring it back up, to possibly break it down into smaller portions, or to bring it back as whole, with parallel bills of the basic components, riding along with it. Call to support a whole bill, to mirror Arizona, to mirror Federal Law.
