While Kentucky hasn't yet suffered the explosive population growth that other parts of the south have, demographic indicators show that it's headed in that direction. Dramatic population growth projections in Fayette and twelve surrounding counties - 45 percent by 2030, according to a state demographer - have local leaders concerned that the region can't handle the influx. Anderson, Garrad, and Scott counties are expected to more than double their populations by 2030. No one knows how the state will deliver water to the newcomers, and no major new roads have been planned to accommodate the population increase.

Steve have you attempted to post the above or any comment to the source article, my last comment was not displayed on the source, I wonder if it is just me or everyone.

FRANKFORT – A legislative panel debated Wednesday whether a controversial immigration proposal would be too costly for local governments and jails.

The bill, sponsored by Sen. John Schickel, R-Union, a former Boone County jailer and U.S. marshal, would empower local law enforcement officials to enforce federal immigration laws.

After lawfully stopping someone for a suspected crime, police would be able to verify his or her immigration status. If the person is determined to be in the country illegally, he or she could be arrested and charged with criminal trespassing.

Critics said the measure would amount to an “unfunded mandateâ€

The Pro-ILLEGAL Politicians seem to be searching for reasons not to protect their Citizens. In Kentucky in the past few weeks they have used the expected loss of a supposed 16,000 jobs from the Head Start program up to and including they can not afford to spend the money to protect Cuitizens.
