    Kentucky

Summary Demographic State Data (and Source)
    Population (2008 CB est.): 4,269,245
    Population (2000 Census): 4,041,769
    Foreign-Born Population (2008 FAIR est.): 122,090
    Foreign-Born Population (2007 Census): 80,271
    Share Foreign-Born (200: 2.9%
    Share Foreign-Born (2000): 2.0%
Immigrant Stock (2000 CB est.): 180,000
Share Immigrant Stock (2000 est.): 4.5%
    Naturalized U.S. Citizens (2006 CB est.): 40,936
    Share Naturalized (2006): 36.6%
Legal Immigrant Admission (DHS 1997-2006): 35,146
    Refugee Admission (DHS 1997-2006) 12,061
Illegal Alien Population (2008 FAIR est.): 45,000
Costs of Illegal Aliens (2005 FAIR) $67,000,000
    Projected 2050 Population (2006 FAIR) 5,272,842

While Kentucky hasn't yet suffered the explosive population growth that other parts of the south have, demographic indicators show that it's headed in that direction. Dramatic population growth projections in Fayette and twelve surrounding counties - 45 percent by 2030, according to a state demographer - have local leaders concerned that the region can't handle the influx. Anderson, Garrad, and Scott counties are expected to more than double their populations by 2030. No one knows how the state will deliver water to the newcomers, and no major new roads have been planned to accommodate the population increase.

Steve have you attempted to post the above or any comment to the source article, my last comment was not displayed on the source, I wonder if it is just me or everyone.

I was informed by "John Doe" via comment on the article that the state of Kentucky was using the following for their numbers:

    House debates immigration bill

Posted by avanbenschoten 02/02/11, 9:12 pm

FRANKFORT – A legislative panel debated Wednesday whether a controversial immigration proposal would be too costly for local governments and jails.

The bill, sponsored by Sen. John Schickel, R-Union, a former Boone County jailer and U.S. marshal, would empower local law enforcement officials to enforce federal immigration laws.

After lawfully stopping someone for a suspected crime, police would be able to verify his or her immigration status. If the person is determined to be in the country illegally, he or she could be arrested and charged with criminal trespassing.

Critics said the measure would amount to an “unfunded mandateâ€

    Jean, Thanks for the link:

The Pro-ILLEGAL Politicians seem to be searching for reasons not to protect their Citizens. In Kentucky in the past few weeks they have used the expected loss of a supposed 16,000 jobs from the Head Start program up to and including they can not afford to spend the money to protect Cuitizens.

Interesting that in the comment section of the source article there seems to be 4 commenter’s issuing PRO-ILLEGAL comments and backing each others comments or just 1 with 4 ID's.

Too many Special Interest Groups supporting the ILLEGALS with their comments on the source article:

    http://cincinnati.com/blogs/nkypolitics ... s=d&page=1

The Elitists Special Interest Groups who pretend to stand for Social Justice are no more concerned about the ILLEGALS than they are for United States Citizens; they are also the quickest and loudest to attack anyone who wants Our National Borders Secured and our Immigration Laws Enforced. JUST FOLLOW THE MONEY!

The only reason it is still against the law to refuse service to the ILLEGALS is because the Special Interest Groups and ILLEGAL EMPLOYERS who benefit financially from their ILLEGALS are Political Contributors to our Elitist Politicians and want the U.S. Taxpayers to continue to furnish this as a benefit for their ILLEGALS; these are the same Elitist Special Interest Groups who direct their ILLEGALS to utilize the Hospitals Emergency Rooms as their family doctor for "free" after all it only an expense to the U.S. Taxpayers and just adds PROFIT to the bottom lines of the ILLEGAL EMPLOYERS and of course the ILLEGALS do consider it a benefit for being an ILLEGAL.

Of course the more the Elitist Special Interest Groups financially benefit from the ILLEGALS the more money that is poured into the coffers of the Elitist Politicians to support the ILLEGALS but this is really not new, the Chamber of Commerce has always been working in support of the ILLEGALS. The ILLEGALS are comfortable with pushing ahead of everyone else including U.S. Citizens who do not receive the same preferential treatment in all areas. U.S. Citizens have already lost “entry levelâ€
