At this hour, federal and state agencies continue to serve search warrants on at least three Northern Kentucky properties.

Officials say the investigation surrounds the sale of counterfeit DVDs.

The agencies involved here include the FBI, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents and the Kentucky State Police.

For almost five hours and counting, they have been not only at the home on Woodview Drive in Edgewood, but also two businesses belonging to the homeowners.

Agents carried out boxes of DVDs and weapons from the Greenup Market in Covington as well as at McIntosh Carryout in Newport.

The businesses and the home are owned by the Zubaidi family, who, according neighbors, have immigrated to the United States. Neighbors also say they've lived in the home for several years and have a young son together.

In Newport, a man who did not want his face shown says something didn't ever appear right at the store.

"I don't know what they sell in there, but I know a lot of people go in and out with nothing in their hands. Normally when you go into a store you leave with a pack of cigarettes, a soda, or something," the man said.

A spokesperson for the FBI says they can only confirm they are serving federal search warrants, but because the affidavits are court sealed, specifics can't be mentioned.
