3 dozen entrants found in stash house, two men arrested
By Alexis Huicochea
ARIZONA DAILY STAR
More than three-dozen illegal entrants were found in a South Side stash house Wednesday and two men, including one who is believed to have been operating it, were arrested.
Jose Manuel Enriquez-Hernandez and Isidro Aguilera-Cortez - both 29 and from Mexico - were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to transport and harbor illegal entrants for commercial advantage or private financial gain, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Arizona.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement special agents learned on Tuesday that a house at 518 W. Dakota Street, near South 12th Avenue and West Nebraska Street, was being used to harbor illegal entrants.
The following day, a search warrant was served at the home where they found 38 illegal entrants and the two men, the release said.
Enriquez-Hernandez lived at the home for about three months and is said to be the person in charge of it, the release said.
According to the new release, the stash house operated as follows:
Aguilera-Cortez was one of the drivers who would bring vehicle loads of illegals. He was paid $500 for a load of 10 people.
When they arrived at the home, Enriquez-Hernandez would separate the males and females and place them in separate rooms. The room the males were held in was locked from the outside with a deadbolt. Enriquez-Hernandez told investigators the entrants were not free to leave until their smuggling fees were paid.
One of the females being held at the house was forced to work as a cook for the other illegal entrants.
Enriquez-Hernandez told investigators he was paid to hide the entrants in the home, the news release said. Aguilera-Cortez told investigators he only transported one load but was planning to transport another in the future.
Aguilera-Cortez’s statement is contradicted by the woman who was forced to cook who said he had delivered several loads of people to the home.
A conviction for conspiracy to transport and harbor illegals for commercial advantage or private financial gain carries a maximum penalty of 10 years, a $250,000 fine, or both.

I got it Shadow. Thanks for the heads up.
ICE sure is going after a lot of these stash houses. People must have started to report them or ICE is taking action on these reports.
