DREAM Act faces dim future in House, but…
We could free up millions of jobs for Americans and legal immigrants if we enforced our immigration laws against illegal workers
DREAM Act faces dim future in House, but…

The GOP takeover of the House of Representatives in the New Year is worrying some members of the Latino population and left-wing activists who were hoping the much-touted DREAM Act would pass and become a first step in achieving amnesty for millions of illegal aliens.
The Democrat-controlled Senate even failed to pass the DREAM Act in December, leaving it to the new Congress—which returns on January 5, 2011—to try again.
The DREAM Act, which stands for Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors Act, is being sold by the Obama Administration and the Democrat Party as a granted legal residency for the many illegal aliens brought to the United States as children. However, the act would benefit adults as old as 30, which caused the Republicans to criticize it as a backdoor amnesty bill.
When the bill failed to pass, President Barack Obama called it “maybe my biggest disappointment.â€Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

They just don't get it, we have strong estimates of 18-20 million illegals and some say it could be far more. On top of that we have another 5-7 million children of illegals. All of these are on the bottom rung of the ladder.
So 25-27 million or possibly significantly more, thats what 9% of our population illegal or children of illegals? Very possibly higher. Yet we have a near 10% unemployment rate which removing those illegals lets say it would be down to 5% or so. That also shores of the national debt as far as abuse on welfare and medicaid. It also removing the illegal and legal children of illegals would help clear up a seriously significant part of the education system from lower grade level schools all the way through college level.
Then can't forget all the money saved from less prisoners in prisons, less crime, less of a need for as many police officers, less judicial costs...
Getting rid of illegals would probably drop 7-11% off our budget alone.... even after the cost of getting rid of them as long as its not all drawn out.

Republicans must stop believing that illegals will ever vote for them. History has shown time and again that they will vote for Democrats no matter what. Do NOT take the amnesty bait, it is the worst thing you can do. Legalize these people and the Democrats will rule the nation forever. You give them amnesty and they will still vote for Democrats every time. You are kidding yourself if you think otherwise.
