Sixteen found slain in Tijuana

TIJUANA – Law enforcement authorities recovered 16 dead bodies early Monday in two separate locations. The corpses bore signs that the killings were in retaliation for betraying members of organized crime.

A group of four men was found at 6:45 a.m. in a neighborhood off the Via Rapida Oriente known as Colonia Sepanal, according to the Baja California Attorney General's Office. One had a sign that read: “I am not a traitor, but I don't like to hang around with cowards.â€
