At Least 1 Dead After Gunbattle in Matamoros

MATAMOROS, MEXICO - At least one person is dead following a gunbattle in Matamoros around noon Thursday that lasted several minutes.

Authorities say cartels and the Mexican military exchanged gunfire in the southwest part of the city. It's believed the person killed was a cartel member.
