Arpaio's New Role? Food Critic
Arpaio's New Role? Food Critic
September 14th, 2007 @ 5:36pm
by Jon Zimney/KTAR
Sheriff Joe Arpaio was investigating suspected illegal immigrants operating food vendor carts in Maryvale Friday afternoon.
"There's dozens of these carts out there in certain areas of the city," Arpaio said. "I'm sure we're not going to catch them all - they went underground for a while, I think they got word that we were going to come after them awhile back. Now, it looks like they're back in action again."
Besides being on the wrong side of the border, Arpaio said there's a health risk as well, since many of the vendors selling the food don't have the proper permits and could be using contaminated equipment.
He said anyone who can't produce paperwork will be eating their dinner in jail tonight.

It appears that the illegals want America to become a third world country instead of just working. time to deport them.

I'd be very reluctant to buy food from any of those carts. I remember once when I was in Tijuana...those food carts were everywhere. Most of the vendors were selling carne asada. It smelled wonderful while it was cooking (I love carne asada); however, the raw meat was just sitting there in the sun (no refrigeration), and there were flies all over it.
Second to the carne asada, they sold a lot of pastries. Again, they smelled delicious; however (again) they were just sitting out in the sun with flies all over them.Calderon was absolutely right when he said...."Where there is a Mexican, there is Mexico".

Yes, I never buy food, fruit etc. from unlicensed (i.e., illegal) carts and street corner squatters. Other points to consider: where do the sellers go to the bathroom, where do they wash their hands? etc.
IMO these food cart pushers are in many ways the contemporary version of squeegee men; a public nuisance -- a societal "broken window" -- that must be fixed quickly.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
