Levin Praises Trump Over No-Amnesty Border Wall Proposal: 'He's Not a Fool'

Radio host Mark Levin praised President Trump on Sunday for his proposal border deal to congressional Democrats.


In exchange for the nearly $6 billion Trump has sought for border wall funding, the president offered Democrats a three-year protections extension for 700,000 Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients.


Levin, the host of Fox News' Life, Liberty & Levin, said that the key to Trump's proposal is that he offered no amnesty to illegal immigrants.


Trump advised House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in a tweet to "be careful," and that "there will be no big push to remove the 11,000,000 plus people who are here illegally."


"[Trump has] taken amnesty off the table, unlike every Republican president in the last 30 years, right off the top," Levin said. "He's not a fool. He's said 'you know what? I've seen this go on for 30 years,' and the president is saying enough of the lying to the American people. It's time Nancy Pelosi side with the American people."

Levin said that there has been enough of foreign governments "steamrolling" the United States and sending undocumented citizens to America.


He said that Trump wants to defend American sovereignty, and that Pelosi doesn't stand for the American people.


"She comes from a sanctuary city. She stands for sanctuary cities. ... There's a big country out there that doesn't believe in nullifying federal law, that doesn't believe citizenship should be handed out like lollipops," he said. "The president will stay strong on this; I'm convinced of it."
