Tonight—can moderate Republicans set a new direction for Iraq?
Senators from both parties came together this week to pass an
extension of the SCHIP children’s healthcare program. Now a
group of GOP senators led by George Voinovich (OH) want to echo
that success and force a change in Iraq—setting a timeline for
U.S. troops to shift from combat to support roles there. But
Democratic leaders are opposed to the plan, which has a big
catch: the timeline wouldn’t even begin until the final days of
President Bush’s term, more than 14 months away. Tune in for
    that story.

The Bush administration hoped to have 70 miles of fence built
along the U.S.-Mexico border by Sept. 30, but the plan has hit
obstacle after obstacle. The newest roadblocks are House
Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who has called the fence a “terrible
    ideaâ€

Mayor Pat Ahumada of Brownsville, Texas, who doesn’t
want the fence running through 17 miles of his city. Ahumada
has denied Homeland Security officials access to city land and
is threatening a lawsuit to prevent construction of the fence.
Makes me wonder how much the cartels are paying the honorable Mayor. They surely have control over these border cities.

    No voting for illegals!

No way should New York give drivers licenses to illegal aliens. Lou's Show tonight mentioned how the illegals will be voting once they have N.Y. drivers licenses.Lets deport them like Spain did.
Thomas Jefferson said: When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty !
