    Lou Dobbs Tonight
    Monday, December 3, 2007

Lou’s new book INDEPENDENTS DAY is now on sale in bookstores
and on Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com. In Independents Day,
Lou issues a rallying cry to American citizens eager for a
change, focusing particularly on the critical issues and
    challenges of the 2008 election.

Tonight: A new National Intelligence Estimate finds that Iran
halted its nuclear weapons program in 2003. Iran is still
producing enriched uranium and could still produce a weapon
    within five years.

But the new estimate—a consensus report from all major U.S.
    intelligence agencies—seriously undermines the Bush
administration’s menacing claims about Iran’s intentions, and
it raises another big question: Why did this intelligence take
four years to emerge? We’ll have complete coverage.

Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson today outlined plans to
address the rising tide of home foreclosures across the
country. Has Paulson delivered a solution or is this just the
latest Bush Administration rhetoric? We’ll have a special
    report.

Hundreds of thousands of homeowners are facing higher mortgage
payments each month and possible foreclosure. Roughly 47
million Americans are uninsured. Unfortunately, the
government’s own finances are even worse than the American
family’s: The national debt totals about $30,000 for every
person in America—and it’s growing by $1 million every minute.
Join us for that War on the Middle Class report.

New Mexico is one of the eight states which do not require
proof of lawful residence to acquire a driver’s license.
Governor Bill Richardson liberalized driving requirements in
the state in 2003, infuriating New Mexico Republicans. And one
source tells CNN that Oregon and New Mexico are the two primary
sources for drivers’ licenses for illegal aliens working and
living in California. Tune in for that report.

A federal court in Louisiana held an appeal hearing today in
the case of Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean, the former Border
Patrol agents serving 11 and 12 years sentences for shooting an
illegal alien drug smuggler. Last week, the court unsealed
legal filings that allege several trial mistakes. We’ll have a
    live report from New Orleans.

And we’ll be joined by former Texas judge, Rep. Ted Poe
(R-Texas), and Rep. Walter Jones (R-N.C.) to discuss the case.
