ICE press release announcing that Secure Communities is now activated in Caddo and St. Tammany parishes in LA. With the expansion of biometric information sharing capabilities to these two parishes, ICE is now using Secure Communities in seven Louisiana jurisdictions

You keep saying the same thing on every article about Secure Communities and it is still incorrect.
Almost half of the people deported have no criminal convictions.

Of the 350,000 people deported this year, more than half had criminal convictions . . .

(If more than half had criminal convictions that means that almost half have NO criminal convictions.)

The credit for this Initiative belongs to the BUSH administration. IMO, he didn't realize how effective it would be. This program will be a "game changer" for enforcement. The open border, illegal alien lobby groups absolutely hate it (so, it must be working).

It's very cost efficient. It solves one of our biggest complaints, of local police NOT reporting illegal residents to ICE. With Secure Communities, the reporting is automatic. Granted many of the non serious offenders aren't deported, but the number of deportations is increasing. I believe ICE should focus on the most serious offenders.

I applaud each additional county that is signed up. Two liberal states of Mass. and NY are also going to participate. Secure Communities will soon be nation wide, HURRAY !

No doubt, a fence is important, but not a solution. It's merely a band aid. People will go over, under and around a fence. Half the illegal residents here, came legally and over stayed their visa.

Secure Communities in the single most important aspect of interior enforcement. We need border security and interior enforcement.
