MA-Plea at forum for driver's licenses for immigrants

Jorge DeLeon came to the United States to be part of a country he loves, he told the committee. He said undocumented immigrants want a chance to become Americans, just like the Irish and Italians.

Well, Jorge, to do that maybe you should speak English and quit waving the Mexican flag. The Irish and Italians did everything they could to assimilate, they came with their hands in their pockets, not held out for free benefits. The Irish and Italians did not become a multi-billion dollar burden on the American taxpayers.

But the loudest cheer came when Fitchburg Police Chief Robert DeMoura pleaded with a governor's task force to seek changes to state and federal law to allow undocumented immigrants to get driver's licenses. "My officers want to know when we stop someone who that person is," DeMoura told the panel of 15.

This town needs a new police chief. In my town if someone doesn't have a drivers license, they take them to jail for fingerprinting to see who they really are. Most of the time they are illegal, so they then take them to the local ICE office.

Maybe it is time they start holding town hall meeting with Legal U.S. citizens...what the hell do they think the people they are meeting with are going to say.....OH NO PLEASE DEPORT ME, I BROKE THE LAW AND DO NOT DESERVE A DRIVERS LICENSE....

This man is an idiot when it comes to what a drivers license conveys.
