Malibu votes to be a sanctuary city because without illegals 'no one's houses would be cleaned'

The Los Angeles Times reported Monday morning on Malibu leaders' vote to become a sanctuary city, citing residents explaining that illegals' labor makes possible Malibu's "comfortable lifestyle."

After the city council toiled for hours over the decision to make what amounts to a symbolic gesture (the city contracts its policing to the LA County Sheriff's Department so it follows their policies regarding immigration authorities), the paper quoted sanctuary proponents in the breezy beachside Malibubble.

The Times reported:

"Malibu is about 92% white and one of L.A. County's wealthiest cities. Everyone agrees the city has workers who are not authorized to be in the United States, and they tend to serve the food at upscale eateries, clean the beachside mansions, look after children and keep the landscaping looking lush."

The councilwoman who proposed the ordinance argued in favor of it by declaring, "Our city depends on a Hispanic population to support our comfortable lifestyle."

According to the councilwoman, that a chunk of the city's service workforce is in the country illegally is simply "a well-known fact around town."

Another "lifelong Malibu resident" told the Times that "it's hard to imagine a Malibu without the many immigrants who toil there."

"Heck … we would be paralyzed and no one's houses would be cleaned," he remarked.

One immigrant who commutes to Malibu from Compton observed, "You see Spanish speakers taking care of babies in every house."

First of all, these mostly white proponents of the sanctuary city vote are trafficking in the same stereotypes about Hispanics that liberals routinely decry as harmful.

Second, that the threat of decreased access to cheap labor is apparently the most persuasive argument for this policy should help us understand the real priorities of Malibu's wealthy white residents.

Your laziness to clean your own homes is not our problem as a nation. You stupid lazy self-centered people get a swiffer, get a vaccum, and clean up after ourselves or hire an American to do it by paying them enough to clean up after your nasty butts. Our nation is NOT going to tolerate illegal immigration so you can sit around being waited on. We're NOT going to keep paying Medicaid bills, food stamp costs, public education expenses, free school lunches, EITC or any other public benefit to augment your cheap labor cleaning up after you dirty lazy people.

NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!! Buy a broom, fire your illegal alien and send them packing or you'll end up going to jail.

Why are these businesses hiring illegal aliens?

These aren't businesses, these are people in homes too lazy to clean their own house or too cheap to pay an American to do it. They're disgusting!!

Then they can invest in opening a LEGITIMATE business like "Merry Maids" with E-verify.

They can open a Job Service company that hires restaurant workers, maids, gardeners, babysitters like a Temporary Agency.

Yes, for those who don't know or refuse to admit, there are ample legal options in the United States to make money and clean your house.

The faux welcome sign was posted Tuesday by an unknown artist, touting, "Cheap Nannies and Gardeners Make Malibu Great!"

An unknown artist has pranked the city of Malibu with a faux sign posted underneath the official city limits marker on the Pacific Coast Highway.

"Official Sanctuary City 'Cheap Nannies and Gardeners Make Malibu Great!' (Boyle Heights Not So Much)," the sign reads, referencing the coastal city's recent designation as a sanctuary city for immigrants seeking asylum from deportation law enforcement.

The Los Angeles County Sheriffs department told The Hollywood Reporter that the city has not filed an official report and no investigation into the sign is currently taking place.

Reva Feldman, Malibu's city manager, called it an "unfortunate prank" and said that authorities were "working on it."

The right-leaning political sign appears similar to signs posted around Los Angeles by the street artist known by the pseudonym of Sabo, and the artist did post a link on Twitter to the photo but did not directly take credit for the image. "Some friends of mine put those up last night," the artist told THR. "They aren't big on getting attention seeing they work in the Hollywood industry and as well all know there is a serious Black List in full effect focused on those of us who aren't on the Left politically speaking."

Malibu, one of the more affluent neighborhoods in Los Angeles County, with Hollywood stars such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Jack Nicholson, and Ellen DeGeneres owning homes in the area, drew criticism for its designation as a sanctuary city in March, as many noted that the cost of living along the "27 Miles of Scenic Beauty" made it an unviable location for many of those it claimed to be protecting.

The decision to become a sanctuary city was championed by actor Martin Sheen, a city resident, who called on his neighborhood to offer protection to those in the United States illegally.

Oh my God, that is so disgusting. That shows the hollow core of some of the people in California. I'm never going to a movie again. I don't know how much hurting Hollywood hurts California, but it's got to hurt some. And while I love their organic produce, well, no more of that either.

Here is a shocker for you. A good percentage of those who hire illegals to clean their homes are themselves immigrants, illegal or otherwise. And they hire people to clean their homes not because they are lazy, but because they don't know how. They also don't know how to use indoor plumbing and so need to have their homes cleaned more frequently and requiring harder work.

Ask any landlord who has had some of these immigrants and they will likely share some horror stories. And also, many Muslim immigrants do not believe it is their jobs to do house cleaning. This is dhimmi work, something to be done by non-Muslims, preferably slaves.

Oh geez, and we're importing this low-life crap into our once beautiful country. It's disgusting. It all has to stop. Illegal immigration and legal immigration. We can not possibly continue to import these people. It has to end. All of it. NOW.
