    LAS VEGAS
    The British man who attempted to grab a police officer's gun at a Donald Trump rally was sentenced to one year and one day in prison, minus time served and good behavior time.
    Michael Sandford, 20, was arrested in June at a rally for presidential candidate Trump at the TI.

    Sandford told federal agents he drove to Las Vegas from California with a plan to kill Trump. He had even gone to a gun range the day before to learn how to shoot.

    Sandford had overstayed his U.S. entry visa by several months.
