Chase ends crash, 32 illegals found inside van

LA JOYA - 32 suspected illegal immigrants are in Border Patrol custody. They were found crammed into a van following a police chase.

According to La Joya police, they tried to pull the driver over after they ran the van's license plate. They say the van was reported stolen. The driver led police on a chase that ended in a crash near FM 2221 and Expressway 83.

Police tell us the driver fled on foot. He still remains on the run. Police say some of the immigrants suffered minor injuries in the crash.
