MD-Senator Mikulski Letter on The DREAM ACT

    The DREAM Act

    Tuesday, April 7, 2009 11:55 AM

    From: "senator@mikulski.senate.gov" <senator@mikulski.senate.gov>

    Dear :

Thanks for getting in touch with me regarding your opposition to the Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors (DREAM) Act. It's good to hear from you.

I appreciate knowing of your opposition to the DREAM Act. I know you have thought a lot about this issue and I appreciate you sharing your views with me. Unfortunately, we don't agree on this legislation.

The bipartisan DREAM Act would allow immigrant students who are in an institution of higher education to qualify for financial aid. The proposal would not give these students in-state tuition or make them eligible for federal grants but would enable them to apply for private loans to finance their education. I believe that every student should have the freedom to achieve and that freedom should not be limited by the color of your skin or the size of your family's wallet. This bill would also give students who came to the United States as children and join the military or continue their education the opportunity to earn a path toward citizenship.

I want you to know that I believe our nation's immigration system is broken. We need comprehensive immigration reform that protects our borders, protects American jobs and provides a humanitarian solution to the problem of illegal immigration. This means providing more resources to increase border security. It means tougher penalties on employers who hire illegal workers. I also don't believe that we should offer amnesty to illegal immigrants who are currently in the country.

Thanks again for getting in touch with me. If there is anything I can do for you in the future, please let me know.

    Sincerely,
    Barbara A. Mikulski
    United States Senator

Always the same bs answer from these worthless, corrupt and Mexican government, drug cartel, corporate, union and Chamber of Commerce owned and controlled pieces of crap. Always the same phony baloney convoluted logic from these absolute wastes of space, taxpayer dollars and oxygen masquerading as sorry ass representatives of the American people that we need to completely open the border despite the fact that millions more would be competing with unemployed Americans for limited jobs and health care, land, food, water, energy and other LIMITED resources. Absolutely nothing about enforcing current laws on the books through the 1986 IRCA and it's 5 revisions. This congress and administration don't give a damn about suffering and struggling Americans. To those prostitutes on Capital Hell it is all about cheap labor for their corporate johns and masters and illegal alien voters to maintain their worthless asses at the corrupt table of power.
There is no freedom without the law. Remember our veterans whose sacrifices allow us to live in freedom.

Apparently they forget that they were voted into office by Americans for the benefit of Americans, not foreign criminals.

Over 80% of Americans oppose the Dream Act, because it will be the largest amnesty in our history for millions more illegals than the few they mention in their letter, and it will cost Americans trillions of dollars. If they don't want to represent Americans we will get somebody new into office who will represent Americans at the earliest opportunity.

That is what you need to tell these traitors.

The private organizations can already provide educational funding for illegal alien students. This woman is talking crap. Every once in a while you feel sorry for someone because their approach to a situation depends on the stupidity and ignorance of their audience. They do not realize how informed their audience is or their potential to find out the real facts. Even though we might be on the other side already we fear for what the public will do when they realize they have been deceived.

Barbara Mikulski is in that situation and she is going to be lucky if she gets voted out of office.
I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Barbara states "I disagree" when refering to your opposition to the Dream Act and she gets ONE vote and it is NOT up to her to make the decision, she WORKS for her constituents.

I believe these important decision that effect us all should be voted on just like voting for the presidency and I told my congress OBL Senator just that !

    Wonderful response Richard!!

You are correct in pointing out, also, that most of the time these alleged reps of ours seem to forget that the vast majority of those objecting to such legislation ARE very well informed and armed with facts.

That is why, when contacting them, I prefer to spell it out and let them know that they are not dealing with some uninformed, easily dismissed citizen who is just following the herd and probably has no idea of what I am even talking about.

That could be why I never hear anything back from any of them, come to think of it
