Students, professor discuss problems undocumented immigrants face, their rights

Education was the only way out for her.

Besides that, education was her passion. The thrill of learning and the joy of gaining knowledge was always a driving force in her life.

As she prepared to apply for college, she found out higher education may not be an option. It wasn’t her grade point average or her lack of dedication.

She cannot go to college because she is an undocumented immigrant, brought to America by her parents when she was younger.

Through education, America has instilled certain values within its children, promoting a spirit of nationalism and unity. Ironically, the same ideas were infused into the lives of undocumented children giving them reason to believe that the “American Dreamâ€
