The 25-year-old man was attempting to travel to California to visit friends when the train passed through a CBP x-ray imaging station where an officer spotted his outline aboard a rail car containing oats. He was immediately taken into custody and transported to the Northwest Detention Center, Tacoma, Wash., pending his return to Mexico.

During his initial interview it was determined that he had been previously caught attempting to enter the United States on October 29 while walking south along the railroad tracks adjacent to the Peace Arch port of entry.
