Mexican army seizes grenade launchers, grenades, tons of pot along border

The Mexican army announced the seizure of grenade launchers and 11,400 pounds of marijuana during various operations in Matamoros, Reynosa, Rio Bravo, Miguel Aleman and Nuevo Laredo. Authorities also confirmed the death of two gunmen and the arrest of 10 others.

Details of the confrontation were not readily available, however authorities also reported seizure of 32 assault rifles, 6 pistols, more than 12,000 rounds of ammunition, three armored SUVs, 10 other SUVs, six grenades and three grenade launchers among other items.
