Daily Mail blocks Sweden for legal reasons


Daily Mail articles about the murder of Alexandra are blocked in Sweden because the killer's age is questioned.

Articles on the British newspaper Daily Mail's website regarding Monday's knife attack and murder of Alexandra Mezher at an asylum center in Mölndal, have been blocked for the Swedes. The reason is that the newspaper's lawyers do not want the articles to be read from Sweden, because they, among other things, question the suspect's age.

During Friday afternoon, many Swedes discovered that the Daily Mail articles about the murder of 22-year-old Alexandra suddenly could not be accessed from Sweden. Instead of the articles, visitors from from Sweden suddenly were met by a dubious error page, which gave rise to speculations in social media.

Many wondered if Swedish authorities were behind the censorship, especially against the background of the government last week announced plans of introducing an Internet filter to block certain websites.

However, when the Swedish news outlet Fria Tider, contacted a source at the Daily Mail, he said that the newspaper's lawyers had ordered blocking of articles for Swedish visitors. The reason is, among other things, that a number of articles are questioning the suspected perpetrator's alleged age, information that could affect the trial.

The murder suspect, Youssaf Khaliif Nuur, is a Somali who claims that he is only 15 years old, but the Daily Mail articles portrayed him as much older. As Sweden doesn't perform any age testing, paperless asylum seekers can claim almost any age.

One of the articles that was blocked also contains an interview with a Swedish policeman who openly talks about an "explosion of crime" due to the large immigration. The officer has worked as a police officer for 30 years and says that the situation in Sweden today is significantly different to how it looked in the 80s.

During the week, the Daily Mail has sent a journalist-team to Göteborg to cover the ongoing trial against the "young" Somali asylum seeker. The British newspaper has published numerous articles about the murder.

Tragic Swedish social worker Alexandra Mezher was killed after she tried to break up a knife fight at the adolescent migrant centre where she worked, MailOnline can reveal.

Miss Mezher, 22, intervened when Youssaf Khaliif Nuur allegedly launched an unprovoked attack on another resident at the juvenile asylum seeker hostel in Molndal, Gothenburg, on Monday morning.

But the psychology student suffered two fatal knife-wounds to the back and thigh and died from her injuries in hospital.

‘The murder started with an attack on another boy,’ source at Gothenburg Police told MailOnline today.

‘There was an argument between the suspect and another resident at the hostel.

‘I don’t know the reason for the argument between the two residents.

‘But in some way this woman got between them. She was trying to break up the fight.

‘Miss Mezher tried to separate them and told the suspect to stop but then he [allegedly] stabbed her.’
The source dismissed any suggestion that the killing had a sexual motive.

He added murder suspect Nuur, 15, had had complained of feeling ‘unwell’ the night before and had not slept at all in the hours before the alleged attack.

It has been suggested that Nuur has psychological issues and had a breakdown in the hours before the attack and complained of hearing voices in his head.

The source revealed: 'The knifeman may have had some kind of breakdown. He may have suffered some trauma previously in his life.'

The source said he was heard pacing around the his bedroom for most of the night before the attack at 8am on Monday.
The teenager is currently being held at a secure psychiatric hospital on the outskirts of Gothenburg.

The Gothenburg Police source told MailOnline: ‘There was no sexual motive in the murder.

‘This Somali boy did not have a motive for the attack other than he was not feeling well.

‘This lady tried to separate them and told him to stop but he stabbed her.

‘The suspect had been up all night. He had said he was not feeling well the night before.’

Managers of the child refugee centre should not have let Miss Mezher work the night shift on her own if they knew one of the residents was suffering a mental health breakdown, the Gothenburg Police source claimed.

He told MailOnline: ‘If the management of the centre knew that one of the residents was not [mentally] well should have got in extra staff to help her that night.

Nuur will appear at Gothenburg District Court this afternoon charged with one count of murder and one count of attempted murder.

It remains unclear whether proceedings will be held in public or in a closed court session due as the suspect is 15.

The source, who has worked for Gothenburg Police for over 30 years, has detailed the ‘explosion in crime’ in the Swedish city since the country ‘threw open the doors’ to mass immigration.

He told MailOnline: ‘We have experienced an explosion in crime, particularly violent crime, since our politicians threw open the doors to immigrants from all over the world.

‘I have worked in Gothenburg for more than three decades and I have never known anything like it.

‘The city always had a bit of trouble, but it was usually amongst people who were drunk and knew each other.
‘But now I will not let my children go into the city after 2pm and especially not at night.

‘There are violent gangs roaming around the streets and the use of knives and other weapons have become normal, rather than a rarity as it used to be.

‘There are 20 robberies in Gothenburg every day – usually with violence or the threat of violence.

‘This week an 83-year-old lady had a gun put in her face when she was mugged on her way to play bingo. They got away with just 50 Kroner [about £4].

‘In the summer there were mass shootings with lots of people killed, including a little girl.’

He added the city streets were now at the mercy of gangs of young men mainly from North Africa.

The source revealed: ‘In the past couple of months we have noticed a dramatic increase in street robbery. This is a new phenomenon.

‘And when the police arrest someone nowadays the suspect often fights back – with a knife or a screwdriver. This is not something we have seen before.’

A mob of black-clad masked men went on a rampage in and around Stockholm's main train station last night beating up refugees and anyone who did not look like they were ethnically Swedish.

Before the attack, the group of 200 people handed out xenophobic leaflets with the message 'Enough now'.

Swedish media reported that the thugs, allegedly linked to Sweden's football hooligan scene, were targeting unaccompanied minors with a 'foreign' background.

The mob, wearing all-black balaclavas and armbands, 'gathered with the purpose of attacking refugee children' Stockholm police spokesman Towe Hagg said.

'Police are now looking into the leaflets that were handed out by masked people before the attack'.

Authorities confirmed that at least 40-50 people went on a rampage at 9pm on Friday night attacking migrants.

Witnesses told Aftonbladet newspaper that they saw a gang of black-clad thugs attacking refugees at the station.
'I saw maybe three people who were beaten. That was no football brawl or something similar. They targeted migrants. I was quite scared and ran away,' a witness said.

The leaflet handed out before the attack refers to the alleged murder of Alexandra Mehzer, a 22-year-old aid worker knifed to death at the child centre where she worked in Molndal, Sweden.

A Somali-born 15-year-old migrant has been accused of killing her during a fight between two asylum-seekers.

'All over the country, reports are pouring in that the police can no longer cope with preventing and investigating the crimes which strike the Swedish people,' reads the leaflet.

'In some cases, for example, in the latest murder of a woman employed at a home for so called ‘unaccompanied minor refugees’ in Molndal, it goes as far as the National Police Commissioner choosing to show more sympathy for the perpetrator than the victim,' it continues.

'But we refuse to accept the repeated assaults and harrassment against Swedish women.'

'We refuse to accept the destruction of our once to safe society. When our political leadership and police show more sympathy for murderers than for their victims, there are no longer any excuses to let it happen without protest.'

'When Swedish streets are no longer safe to walk on for normal Swedes, it is our DUTY to fix the problem,' the leaflet reads.
'This is why, today, 200 Swedish men gathered to take a stand against the north African ‘street children’ who are running rampage in and around the capital’s central station.'

'Police have clearly showed that they lack the means to stop their progress and we se no other way than to hand down the punishment they deserve ourselves.'

'The justice system has walked out and the contract of society is therefore broken – it is now every Swedish man’s duty to defend out public spaced against the imported criminality.'

'Those who gathered today are neither your politician, your journalist or your policeman. We are your father, your brother, your husband, your colleague, your friend and your neighbour.

'Swedish men and women deserve safety in their everyday life and we are therefore calling on all others who also see the problem to follow in our footsteps, both in Stockholm and in other places around the country. For a better future together'

On Saturday, a 47-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault for punching a police officer in the face.

Three youngsters have also been arrested on Friday night for disturbing public order.

Last week, Swedish police warned that Stockholm's main train station has become unsafe after being ‘taken over’ by dozens of Moroccan street children.

The all-male migrant teen gangs are spreading terror in the centre of the Swedish capital, stealing, groping girls and assaulting security guards, according to Stockholm police.

Members of the gangs, some as young as nine, roam central Stockholm day and night, refusing help provided by the Swedish authorities.

Sweden has seen a dramatic increase in the number of Moroccan under-18s who apply for asylum without a parent or guardian in the past four years, with many later running away from the housing provided to live on the streets in the capital.

Stockholm police estimate that at least 200 Moroccan street children move in the area around the main train station in the centre of the capital, sleeping rough, and living off criminal activity.

The issue of the Moroccan teen gangs first made headlines last year, and the situation has since escalated with Stockholm police demanding authorities to take action.

Desperate officers have started arresting the teens for public drunkenness in order to get them off the streets for a few hours, with the policeman adding that they are 'on our knees'.

The gangs are made up of orphans who have grown up on the streets of Casablanca and Tanger in Morocco, where authorities estimate there are around 80,000 homeless 'street children'.

They have all applied for asylum Sweden as unaccompanied minors after travelling through Spain and Germany, a journey which may have taken them years.

But their troubled backgrounds have made them distrusting and wary of adults, and more than one in five have run away from migrant housing and foster families after applying to stay in Sweden.

I want to see kitchen knives back on the shelves in Ikea stores in Sweden w/o risking another beheading of a woman shopper and see Swedish people, not this garbage. All the EU countries should go back to being solitary entities with their own rules. The UN should be disbanded and made null & void - let their muslim refugee dispenser find a job elsewhere.

Sweden has been taking it on the chin lately in terms of the Syrian “refugee” crisis, with seemingly endless headlines coming out of the socialist paradise depicting problems caused by the new arrivals. The government has been under increasing pressure to do something about it, but the genie seems to already be out of the bottle. One of the latest stories, as reported in The Daily Mail, seems to indicate that many of the “unaccompanied minors” seeking refuge there are awfully… advanced for their age.

Just how old do you think these migrant ‘children’ are? Alarming pictures of refugees – including ‘the fastest 14-year-old in Sweden’ – that shed light on a growing scandal amid Europe’s asylum crisis.

The second is of Saad Alsaud, reported to have been the fastest 14-year-old in Sweden, dwarfing schoolboys and girls as they join him for a run.

But so what if some of the refugees are older than they claim to be? They’re just hoping for a fresh start in a peaceful place away from the war, right? Well… that hasn’t exactly been the experience which residents of Mölndal have encountered. The small city of roughly 63,000 inhabitants has taken in more than 4,000 Syrian asylum seekers. (For the math challenged, that’s a sudden injection of more than six percent of their population.) It hasn’t worked out very well.

Officers in Mölndal say they have had to ignore lesser offences such as drug-dealing because they are so overrun by migrant crime, with gang fights and violent assaults.
And in capital Stockholm police this week warned that the capital’s main train station was ‘overrun’ by gangs of Moroccan street children ‘stealing and groping girls’.

Swedish police revealed they have sent plain-clothes officers to monitor swimming baths in Stockholm after increased reports of sexual harassment of girls and women.

It was also claimed this week police had been forced to flee after being attacked by a mob of asylum seekers as they tried to relocate a ten-year-old boy amid allegations he had been ‘raped repeatedly’ at a refugee centre.

The recent murder of 22 year old social worker Alexandra Mezher at the refugee assistance home where she worked has just put people further on edge.

Just this week, Interior Minister Anders Ygeman announced that Sweden would be expelling as many as 80,000 asylum-seekers. There are so many of them that they are having to set up special charter flights to take them back home, assuming they can find them and get them on the planes in the first place.

A few weeks ago the flow of migrants into the country slowed considerably when they began tightening up the borders and requiring photo ID for those seeking to enter. They’ve also put the word out that they would be seizing some of the cash and other valuables from incoming refugees to help pay for the cost of their care. But is all of this just too little too late?

Sweden is a country of less than ten million people and they’ve already absorbed more than 100,000 people in less than two years. How in the world do you expect that to happen without a massive cultural impact and the “unintended consequences” that come along with it? While unfortunate for the residents, this is turning into an excellent laboratory for other nations to study. Unfortunately, the lessons come too late for Alexandra Mezher.
