Tip Led to Tractor-Trailer Filled with Marijuana

EDINBURG - Hidalgo County investigators are looking into a drug bust at an Edinburg truck stop. A tip led authorities to a tractor-trailer rig at the Flying J Truck Stop.

They set up surveillance. Precinct 3 constables then conducted a traffic stop. They brought out the drug dog.

Inside the tractor-trailer, authorities found cartons of watermelons and a hidden compartment. About 390 pounds of marijuana were discovered.

The defendant in the case is listed as 32-year-old Ruben Ybarra. He was charged with felony possession of marijuana. His bond is set at $250,000.
