Mexican Politician: Sabotage Trump’s Border Plans

    14 Nov 2016

A Mexican politician, who at one time served as foreign minister, is calling for a “line in the sand” against U.S. President-Elect Donald J. Trump. He is calling for a systemic effort to fight a border wall and sabotage the deportation of illegal immigrants.

In an editorial piece published in Mexico’s El Financiero, Jorge Castañeda calls for the country to refuse to take in deported illegal immigrants unless the U.S. government can provide documents to prove that they are Mexican citizens.

“If they claim that by definition undocumented people do not have documents, we will then think that the majority of those deported are Central Americans and send them there,” Castañeda wrote in his editorial. “Some Mexicans will end up over there. In the meantime, a backlog will accumulate and the North Americans will not know what to do.”

Castañeda calls for Mexicans to draw a line in the sand in stating that the deportation of hundreds of thousands or millions of Mexicans is a grave human rights violation. The Mexican politician also calls for Mexico to set up multiple roadblocks to the building of a border wall, calling it a “hostile act against Mexico”.

The Mexican politician served as foreign minister for from 2000 to 2003 under then President Vicente Fox Quezada. The former Mexican president has been a vocal opponent of U.S. President Elect-Donald J. Trump in the past.

As Breitbart Texas has reported, the criticism by Fox comes as Mexico continues to experience unprecedented levels of cartel violence that the Mexican government has not been able to address. During Fox’ tenure, Mexican cartels saw a boom as political powers focused on economic priorities over public safety measures.

Apparently he missed the part of Trump's message that any nation who does that will have all visas to enter the US lifted.
