Calling our senate's decision a "grave error", almost sounds like a threat to us.
If he thinks it was the wrong thing to do, than it was most definitely the right thing to do.

It's Illegal Immigration We Are Stopping
Again, the President of Mexico either doesn't fully understand English or he is twisting the facts around. He states that we are closing the doors to Legal Immigration. We are closing the doors to ILLEGAL Immigration. Plain and simple. What is he doing to better the economy of his country and the lives of its citizens? Is he creating jobs for the Mexican people, or is he, like his predecessor, expecting the United States taxpayers to do it all for him? Sorry, but Economic Vampirism does not make a good neighbor policy!

US Delays Border Talk, Mexico Hot
Mexico, Jun 29 (Prensa Latina) The suspension of debate on immigration reform in the US Senate provoked in Mexico Friday unanimous rejection led by President Felipe Calderon.
Calderon stated that to postpone the discussion until 2009, US legislators hinder giving a sensible, rational and legal solution to the immigration affair saying that concrete measures are needed more than speeches.
The federal executive chief warned that the US Senate"s evasive reply opens the door to illegal immigration, which will have an effect on both sides of the border.
Calderon said that measure sacrifices development possibilities of millions of families and US people because that country"s economy cannot advance without the emigres" labor.
Members of the PRI (Partido Revolucionario Institucional) and PRD (Partido de la Revolucion Democratica) demanded the current government act according to Mexico"s interest and reject the wall United States raises in the common border.

That has always been the trouble with Mexico in the last couple of decades. They only have their own interests in mind and not any interests of the United States, unless of course, it's our tax dollars. The involvement of Mexico's two revolutionist groups that you mention says it all. Who are they to dictate over the United States Citizens? We most certainly need to protect our borders more than ever as it appears that very many Illegal Immigrants have their own agenda. This was demonstrated in Los Angeles on May Day when their cause was wholly supported by the Socialist and Marxist parties, proudly waving their banners at the march in support of the "rights" of Illegal Immigrants. I don't even think that the term "Immigrant" is applicable to those people, since many of them at various rallies have stated that they don't want to become citizens. One of them, a Marxist, was interviewed at a Hollywood rally in the newspaper "City Beat" and he blatantly stated what he thought of the United States. He would not want to become a citizen because he would have to give a Pledge of Allegiance! We need to be very wary.

I'm getting so tired of this new catch phrase "opens the door to illegal immigration"........that would only be the case if the damned door was ever closed to begin with. All statements like that are intended to mean is "If you thought it was bad before, see what we do until we get our way in this" That might work if we were actually as stupid as they think we are but............
As for Senate's so called "evasive reply"......I don't think it was so evasive. The American people spoke and those charged with representing US, listened to US. Nothing evasive about that.
Finally, thank you for your "concern" about the effects on both sides of the border, Mr. Federal Executive Chief. Please let us know when Mexico will be getting started on securing their side so that we can throw a party celebrating the official groundbreaking. PS: Should Mexico find itself with a labor shortage in constructing border obstructions, please don't be shy about saying so. We happen to know where you can find all of the construction labor you will need. No really....we insist. We'll never miss them.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
