RI gov sued for order on illegal immigrants

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - A civil rights group has sued Rhode Island Gov. Don Carcieri for requiring that private businesses check the immigration status of new hires.
The state branch of the American Civil Liberties Union filed the lawsuit Wednesday in Superior Court.
Carcieri signed an order in March that requires state agencies and companies doing business with the state to use a federal database called E-Verify to check the immigration status of new hires.
Carcieri signed the order because he said the state is suffering from an influx of illegal immigrations.
The lawsuit accuses Carcieri of exceeding his constitutional authority by applying his order to private businesses. The ACLU also said the order conflicts with state purchasing laws.
A spokeswoman for Carcieri said she could not immediately comment on the lawsuit.

What's the point of any laws then and why bother paying taxes or any of the other things we're forced to do.

Is everyone at the ACLU brain dead?
It is against the law to hire illegal aliens.......ANYWHERE< ANYTIME< ANY REASON......I-L-L-E-G-A-L
According to:
Constitution
of the
State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations
One of the Governor's chief responsibilities under:
ARTICLE IX
OF THE EXECUTIVE POWER
Section 2. Faithful execution of laws. -- The governor shall take care that the laws be faithfully executed
He IS enforcing the law, is he not?
P*** on the ACLU. They are nothing more than a bunch of hippie has-beens and assorted other loons who can't even get a decent job in law elsewhereJoin our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

The US is the most litigious society in the world and it sounds like the ACLU has been a large contributor to this fame.
I have a feeling that these guys think nothing of live and let live, but are more interested in sue and let sue.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

It sounds like it's just to drum up business for themselves.
The ACLU probably doesn't have any American friends, so they look to the illegals to love them! :PIf Palestine puts down their guns, there will be peace.
If Israel puts down their guns there will be no more Israel.
