Mexico Condemns Comment that U.S. Might Have to Send Troops to Fight Cartel "Insurgency"
Published February 09, 2011
JULY 30: U.S. Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) greets Joseph Westphal, nominee at the time for undersecretary of the Army, testifies before the Senate Armed Services Committee on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC.
The Mexican government has condemned comments made by the Undersecretary of the U.S. Army, Joseph Westphal, after he suggested the U.S. might need to send troops to Mexico and that organized crime groups could take over the country’s government.
Speaking at the University of Utah’s Hinckley Institute of Politics on Monday, the second highest ranking civilian official in the U.S. Army, described the Drug Violence problem in Mexico as an “insurgency.â€Support our FIGHT AGAINST illegal immigration & Amnesty by joining our E-mail Alerts at http://eepurl.com/cktGTn

So either the Mexican Gov is in the drug trade with the cartels or someone is in major denial. The mexican gov is a bit of a joke. They can yell and scream but can't get anything done. Why are we even listening to them?
So, drug cartels taking control of parts of mexico is not insurgence? So what exactly is?

They can then kiss the Mexican governments butt.
If the cartels can not get their contraband here. Then the Americans
that crave it can go down there. Win-Win! A whole new boost for the
Mexico's economy. Kind of like Amsterdam.
What is the deal anyway? Nothing adds up!

The Mexican government is in cahoots with the drug cartels. If not Caldera woulda been dead a thousand times over. Plus if the Mexican Government wanted to retake its streets and enforce the law they would have been calling for US troops to be on the border as the US is where the cartels get their money from and if the border was secured the cartels would collapse fairly quickly.
Course that means no second big check to Caldera and the Mexican government and military leaders.

Well Mexico, when you walk like a narco-violence threat and act like a narco-violence threat you are a narco-violence threat. Did I forget to mention one of the top three revenue sources for Mexico is the multi-billion dollar narcotics trade.

Those people enjoys watching innocent people beheaded, shot until death
with the most powerful weapons anyone can manufacture 24 hours daily,
young children killed while playing out on the streets at homes. A Country
almost operated by the most dangerous contract murders in this world,
even Police Departments raided, and Chief and Federal police officers
gunned down every minute of each day. People located hanging over
across bridges, with threatening notes tied to their bodies, murdered any
time day or night and every second of each day? Not even Army Troops
can control and prevent the brutal crimes from occurring every moment
of each day and nights. That action is more than enough to summon
assistance from across the world to save lives. The truth is the truth, no
matter what it concerns. When you aid and support criminals, you live a criminal life style yourself:

Yah but if the US sent troops troops would also be sent to secure the borders. That means fewer or no illegals getting across to keep supporting the Mexican economy by remitances, means drug cartels go out of business for more kickbacks, Mexicans gain more power to stand against the corrupt government as the cartels are killed off or retreat as cartels can get away with beheading civilians but if the government did it there would be a quick reaction from the west to wipe out that government.
