Mexico sends illegal alien Cubans home

Mexico is sending illegal alien Cubans home for the first time under a new immigration accord

    12/04/08

A Mexican immigration official says authorities are preparing to send the Cubans back to the communist island after they were caught in Mexico.

The official is not releasing additional information.

Cuban immigrants trying to reach the United States have turned to Mexico in recent years after it became harder to enter through Miami. Almost all were given temporary visas in Mexico and continued on to the U.S.

In October, Mexico agreed to send the Cubans home. An Associated Press photographer in Cancun saw about 60 immigrants being loaded on to buses early Thursday, and some said they were being sent to Cuba.

A Cuban Embassy official had no information.

    NO AMNESTY

Don't reward the criminal actions of millions of illegal aliens by giving them citizenship.

Pretty hypocritical of Mexico to send anyone home when they expect us to keep all of their citizens.

You're right but I won't complain. Every illegal they send home is one less we'll have. Well, at least their arrival in the U.S. will be delayed.

I guess Mexico feels Cubans may take jobs fom all the Mexicans they send up here. Mexico needs all the money their people make coming right back to Mexico.

About 3 miles from my home a Cuban community has formed. We have a building that is called Cuban Services, a Cuban Disco and three Cuban resturants. Apparently, many of them that come into Texas are heading straight for Houston.
