Orion Twp. Red Roof Inn employee says Mexican immigrant sexually assaulted her while she was cleaning

ORION TOWNSHIP, MI -- An employee of the Red Roof Inn in Orion Township says she was cleaning a room when she was sexually assaulted, according to the Oakland County Sheriff's Department.

The 40-year-old woman was able to escape and promptly called 911. Deputies arrived and arrested the suspect without incident.

While in custody, the man, a 32-year-old man who illegally entered the U.S. from Mexico according to Oakland County sheriff's officials, refused to talk to investigators or provide his name.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has been notified and the man remains in the Oakland County Jail pending a fingerprint check.
